I give you credit for subjecting yourself to a panel of musical illiterate nitwits. The same type of panel that elevated barely wedding singer worthy Kelly Clarkson to stardom. When I first heard this I felt you were pandering to the audience and jury with this selection. Yes, Simon, 99% of the guests, hosts and audience can't play the guitar. Including you Simon, who does not have the ear or knowledge to articulate what you just witnessed. I am much more impressed with your realization of Layla. Clapton, a good pop composer and overated but popular guitarist- as DiMeola would say, a guy who uses 2 fingers ( who is not Django). What amazed me about your version of Layla, is that as advanced as jazz players were in the day, Dimeola( a hero of mine), would not have conceived of this approach, then or now I am sure Al would appreciate you as he does Matteo Mancuso. A new generation evolving the art of guitar playing, arranging and composing to a new level. Once the drivel of the Taylor Swift's fizzles - as it does already, music afficianos will seek out this kind of brilliance more and more. The guitar future is in good hands. Bravo! BTW- i just read that you didn't win. Actually, you did..

I like how the cows come over to listen but there's some arbitrary line they won't cross, they just stand shoulder to shoulder and no one wants to get nearer than that one invisible line.
