I think we talked about it before, but Perfect Dark is even smoother, with more weapons, has a female lead and more sci-fi-ish, since it is in the future. You will need, (which I am already sure you have) the Expansion Pak to make full use of it, most multiplayer maps and any of the Story mode for the N64.

I thought you had done a Civilization II review, but I keep searching for it and I guess not. I just bought a Third Edition Civilization II: Strategies & Secrets by Jason R. Rich [SYBEX] for $5. I hope this is also for the PS1 version. Black and white pictures, but looks like a lot of good info and almost brand new. And apparently there was a Civilization 1 for the SNES, which I never knew about

I definitely used the stunner. And no creature was injured during the playing of this game. And never got beyond t-rex encounter. Walk through required. Great review.

So sad Ecco got abandoned after Tides of Time 😩

Despite having a Sega-CD when I was a kid, I never played the Ecco games. I have all my old Sega systems hooked up and and am going back and playing games I missed, and when it came to Ecco I decided to play them on Sega-CD as I'd been told the soundtracks were great. I chased down a copy of each and great turned out to be an understatement. I still listen to the soundtracks all the time, just incredible work. I did not know this version had new levels when I played it, or which, so I did not notice the pacing change you mentioned. The level with the sunken ships ended up being one of my favorites. Not sure I would have gotten through the game without checkpoints, so I was glad I played this version for all the improvements. Both this and Tides of Time are really special. I thoroughly enjoyed the second game. The swirling house in the tornado was an interesting level. So too, Japan. Plus the goofy gadgets.
