I saw a tribute band in Nashville that sounded better than Led Zep but after the show the guests where like wow, that was fun, next. You can only go so far trying to be somebody else. Being you is way more interesting than being someone else. I think bands that inspire us teach us about ourselves because we recognize in them who we are but trying to be them isn't healthy. I hope you guys find who you are and love something besides a buzz. You know Curt hated vanity. He got mad at Courtney for wanted a Lexus, aka a Deutsch chariot. If Curt could talk to you I think he'd say, " Why are you trying to be like me when I'm just some Joe Smo. Yer better off to be yourself." I loved that about Curt, he saw right through the illusion of vanity and the false idols of Rock stardom. He wrote great melodies and tuff arss Rhythms, so what. He is so punk rock. He hated everything about this world. He was so prophetic because God hates this world of thieves and liars just as much as punk rock. Punk Rock rebels against the ways of the world, they don't buy a Lexus.

The vocals were never particularly strong in this band but... Ouch. They should get the Venetia Fair's old vocalist. That guy was a sick Gerard Way type vocalist.
@ThePami81 Жыл бұрын
I personally love Laurence's vocals in this. I guess it's a question of opinion.
@JayFFAFAlesanaES Жыл бұрын
@@ThePami81 I would say in the records the vocals were ok but had no real presence for the most part. Especially the first album. It's why I never paid much attention to them after hearing it a few times, some of my friends I showed liked it a lot, though and listened to it for quite some time. However, in this performance he barely holds a note. It is mostly gruff vocals/shouts or very, very short and cut off notes. I'm checking out their atest live performance because they are playing a festival I'm going to this year.
