I genuinely always tear up at this when I listen because I remember that my favourite TV show of all time has never really featured singing, and then now they’ve given us 2 musical numbers in 1 year. Outstanding. I want one next year now. 😂
@RustyShackleford10111 күн бұрын
Not sure why this never charted, it's clearly the best song The Beatles ever did.

This song’s even funnier after the big reveal at the end of The Legend of Ruby Sunday… . . . . . . . . Just picture Sutekh in his original Egyptian Darth Vader-looking form from 1975 dancing to this song in Abbey Road.

i headcanon that there once was a record. a beatles record. on the A side was the beautiful song of My Dog. but then Paul grew hateful towards his dog. so on the B side, its okay to leave a dog in a hot car.

That song was all John’s idea actually, he bloody hated dogs

I knew this song was real! Whenever I used to tell people my favourite Beatles song was I've got a dog I always got weird looks, then I looked it up and apparently the song never existed! I thought thod was a Mandela Effect thing for the longest time. How on Earth did you manage to find it?
@senormedia26 күн бұрын
The harmonic interest is typical of their quicker songs too, and one gets the impression that they think simultaneously of harmony and melody, so firmly are the major tonic sevenths and ninths built into their tunes, and the flat submediant key switches, so natural is the Aeolian cadence at the end of “I've Got A Dog” (the chord progression which ends Mahler’s Song of the Earth).
