@@jostalking So basically you need 500 subs and 3k hours viewed to “monetize” memberships, donations, etc. , and 1K subs and 4K hour viewed to monetize advertisements. Once you get one of these thresholds(or both), you can apply for monetization. Before they accept your channel to monetize they have to make you a KZfaq Partner, which is basically to set up and get approval for your Adsense account and that your channel fulfills the YPP conditions. Don’t try to get an Adsense account before that, it will cause problems. You can see if you are eligible on your Earn page in your YTB studio( the little dollar sign) If t says apply, you can apply. If you have the first threshold, apply, because it can take a long time to get approved, so by the time you get approved, you make the 4K hours and you can start to monetize. :)

the compact size is great but if one doesn't need the cam to be that tiny there are so many better options out there. I returned mine yesterday for the same reasons you mentioned(video quality in low light, focus, audio). Anxiously awaiting the release of the Action 5

@@jostalking What I meant was, if one doesn’t mind something larger, all the premium action cams out now has better quality video, audio and battery life. If you’re strictly looking for pov and size matters- there is nothing out there that can rival it.

I also loved how versatile the action 4 is but i ended up getting rid of it in favour of the low light performance on the P3. That being said, I will most likely pick up the A5 when it comes out as I hear they will have the same lens as the P3. Btw- You’re doing great on camera! Keep up the great work

@@siruloI love the pocket 3 too, but on this shoot I did notice that the pocket 3 did not handle green that well. It doesn’t look that great. I shot in auto, and it was overexposed at times and I had to bring down the highlights, it gave me this look which I did not like. I was wondering if I had done something wrong. I noticed a few other people who shot with trees behind them, had a similar to look in other people’s videos.

I've been following you since we both took the Casey Neistat course at the same time and I love your style. It's so natural and is perfect for the "average joe" as you show us that it's possible to make great videos without having to copy the style of Casey or Peter. I enjoy both your camera vids and your vlog vids so just do what you enjoy man, don't worry about views. Your subscriber base should be way higher by now anyway but it will come. Ps. Mrs Jo's Talking, please let Jo buy more camera gear, it's still a healthy hobby for now, it's cheaper than golf and we'll let you know if becomes too much of an addiction for him ;-)

Hey thanks for this comment, because I have always liked the colors of the pocket 3, but for some reason on this shoot, which I left in Auto, the colors don't look great. I was actually trying to figure out if I had made any mistakes when shooting, Every time I have shot with the Pocket 3 it has come out so great, but this time I wasn't happy with the colors at all - think I did something wrong?

Seeing them side-by-side is great! What sticks out to me is how the background is blurred a bit more with the Pocket 3. I like that. It's too bad that the Pocket 3 isn’t more durable or splashproof. I have the Osmo Action 4 and love it for motovlogging. I'm still sticking with the ZV-1 for off-the-bike vlogging… for now! 🤔

I think the Action 4 is the perfect camera for what you're doing, and the ZV1 works great for you too, Did you end up getting a mic that you can connect with the Action 4? That is my favorite part of the camera

@@jostalking I have the DJI Mic 1, so I have to attach the receiver to the side of the action 4. It stays in place at 80 mph! 😬 The only bummer to that is that the camera is no longer waterproof with the side door off. I have one mic in my helmet with the other one in my backpack to pick up the bike sounds.

You’re gonna make me wanna buy another camera 😂 I already got the Osmo pocket 3 because you convinced me, hihi. I used it for my Ålesund- Geiranger trip. It was amazing , the most epic trip I ever did in my life, and the Pocket 3 really overdelivered. If I shoot at wide angle I cannot tell the difference between my mirrorless and the Osmo. I am happy with my purchase. Took me a month to edit the video, though.

It can be more time consuming. For certain situations, maybe yes, but for a travel vlog, not necessary. Obviously the OP3 works just great in normal color profile! Thanks man!

@@jostalking if you follow the release date for Dji action 2 oct 2021, action 3 was sep 2022 and Dji action 4 August 2023. So The rumor for DJI action five is also sometime August or September 2024. Hope they will do something about the low light to compete with Insta 360 ace pro. I am also waiting for the DJI to come out with the action five right now. I use my action 4 all the time. You should keep the action 4 and get a five when it comes out and also get a Dji action 2 remote controller which you can control both the camera to turn on turn off at the same time or individually.

I have the action 2 and the remote controller and bought the action 4 couple months ago and I use the remote controller to turn on both cameras at the same time and get two different angle shots. You can use the remote controller to turn on three cameras from DJI action at the same time just when you turn off you have to double click the off button if you have two or three cameras, but if you have only one camera, you just have to click it once.

They might use the 1 inch sensor from the Osmo pocket three. It might come out in September in the beginning. just a rumor we’ll see when it comes out

The DJI Action 4 is what I use almost exclusively for vlogging. It's quick, discrete and fits in my pocket. Unlike the Pocket which doesn't really fit in my pocket. I also find the form factor counter intuitive for spontaneous footage. I actually started using them together, with the Action as my main camera and the Pocket for 2nd camera and lowlight situations.
