Hi, repetitions depend on what you're after. Check out our other videos that go through how many reps for endurance and strength. Broadly speaking, for endurance exercises you want lots of repetitions and for strength, not that many. You could work both endurance and strength muscles with these exercises, the choice is yours!

@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108
@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108 Ай бұрын
Hi, how often depends on your activity levels. Using the massage gun every couple of days is a good time frame to work on. You could use it once or twice a week too, depending on how much exercise you're doing. If you use the massage gun and it feels too sore, then leave it for a day and try again

Sorry you can't see the area so well. Typically, the area to work on is different for different people, so what may be a good area for one, isn't for someone else. Scan the foot while you're using the massage gun to get a feeling of where is a bit tighter and may be a good area to work on for you.

When I use the gun on my Vastus Lat I sometimes get triggering of the muscle when I run over the anterior inferior part the muscle. Why is this. It’s more prominent after long runs
@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108
@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108 Жыл бұрын
Hi, Well done on using the gun to loosen your quads after a run. Typically, we find the outer aspect of the muscles (lateral) can get "tight" with increased work, more so than the inside (medial) area, which is what could be causing the triggering and why you may be finding this with the longer runs. We also find that muscles can change on a daily basis depending on the activities you're doing, so sometimes the area may be sorer and other times it can feel ok.
@grantormerod

@@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108 thanks for this. So the triggering is nothing to worry about, maybe just fatigue???
@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108

We, unfortunately, can't comment on individual cases, so if the triggering is worrying you, we'd suggest getting an appointment with your healthcare professional to discuss.

Hi thanks for the video. Is this exercise good for people with osteoporosis?
@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108
@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108 Жыл бұрын
Hi, We're glad you like the video. Any personal advice for your own situation should be given by your own healthcare professional. The advice from the International Osteoporosis Foundation is to avoid trunk flexion (bending over forwards) with osteoporosis, although there can be exceptions to this and would depend on the specific individual. We hope this helps.

Will these exercise help trapped nerves in the spine
@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108
@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108 Жыл бұрын
Hi Lee, These exercises help mobilise the spine and neck, along with helping to decrease muscle tension, and are for general advice only. We can't comment on whether they'd improve a trapped nerve as it depends on the individual and what's going on with the nerve, which needs specific advice provided by a physio or healthcare professional.

My calf gets tighter when i use a massage gun? Any tips?
@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108
@physiofithealthsportsinjur1108 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry to hear your calf gets tighter with the massage gun - it may be that the speed setting on the gun is too fast and perhaps there's too much pressure on the calf, which is causing it to feel tight. Try a slower speed setting and for a short amount of time to see if that helps.
