I've seen a lot of reviews saying this mic has very bad gain. It has to be near to your mouth to be loud enough. Is it true?

My only gripe is the horizon lock freeform that crops the image so that it records less of the environment. I loved that the GO 2 and GO 3 can be put in any orientation and still record a video that you can make horizontal or vertical later on. Now you either have to turn the camera horizontally or vertical to get landscape and portrait videos.

Great video! Great tips! I just bought my first drone which is a mavic mini. I wanted something that could take good video but also budget friendly as my first drone to learn with. So far I'm enjoying it and it looks like probably in a few months I might go ahead and bite the bullet and get the mini 4 pro

Would you buy this over the Mailada X5? EDIT: I plan on using a wireless mic with my camera and not attached to a smartphone. I'll also use them for the internal recording capability. I wonder which to buy.

a year is quite a long time... phone companies make a new phone at least once or twice a year.. i think go 3 is still a great camera! not all of us need 4k in everything

What is that sitting on your tripod that ur go3s is mounted to at around the 615 - 620 mark can you link that please... Is it some type of ball mount? (the piece that is directly connected into the tripod)

I've been playing around with the idea of streaming in real life. I've been doing it with the iPhone 15 Pro, but it's not as discreet. Can INSTA360 stream it's video to another device, to then be streamed out to the net? Nice office by the way. I can't believe it came with a pool. 😎

natural pool haha. when you connect the camera/action pod to a laptop, it will ask if you want it to be used as a webcam or access the storage.

i didnt notice it overheating except in one situation when i was doing timeshift inside my black car under the hot weather condition. but then other videos, i only like to capture short videos (or editing is too much)

Major issue, does it have horizon lock while filming in 4K? The 3 only has horizon lock when filming in 1440 but not while filming in 2k. Because of that I never use the 2k on my 3. Horizon lock is one of the main reasons why I bought it. So what it’s important is the ability to record in 4K at 60 with horizon lock. I hope insta360 is reading these comments!

You'll probably have to wait for the Go 4 if you want 4K at 60, it's only max 4k at 30 with the 3S. There is horizon lock but with the new sensors on the 3S it crops the video greatly that it no longer really is an action cam since it's so cropped.

Unfortunately it seems like the GO3 just got a firmware update that decreases the lowlight quality on the Go3 to make the Go3S better in comparison. I love the products, but the company is losing it’s focus on quality and honesty and is starting to care about profits more than anything… very upsetting to see!

Is the magnet strong enough if it were monted on a waverunner/Jet ski, motot bike, or should it be attached to the floation vest? I like it, but for the type of sports I do I need somthing durable and with soild attachments.

I wouldn’t rely the magnet for something like that extreme. I lost my DJI Mic 2 magnet from just vlogging. The mic dropped and the magnet was lost somewhere on the street.

My Go2 has a "Pro video" setting i always use, so no matter what orientation my camera is in that mode gives me FlowState stabilization, the option to adjust the aspect ratio during editing, and most importantly; horizon leveling. Is there a setting so that the Go3s standalone camera can be clipped to my backpack and regardless how my backpack is situated; rightside up or sideways, the footage taken by the camera will remain smooth and horizon leveled?

i never hide sponsorship. you can clearly see that at the beginning of my video as i have ticked the box that it is sponsored. plus, i also wrote it in my video description. anyway, i show so much of what this camera can do in so many different scenarios like using it while trying surfing in the sea, car timeshift, against sun, etcetc. My reviews focus on what the device can actually do so that my viewers can make their own decision
