He often waits for rivals to make the first move and reacts accordingly, different to other players that set a trap and expect the rival to "bite" then make the killing move. This is why Messi's game is so SIMPLE. Other players dribble in two time moves, Messi does it in one move, because he doesnt need to "cheat" on defenders... He just reacts to what the rival does instead of moving to trigger a reaction then resolve.
