Very cool build.. and curious to see how all the motors stack up. I recently upgraded my boat to a ZTW Shark 100A g2 unit. I put 6mm bullets for the battery connection and upgraded the motor bullets from 3.5 to 4mm. I saw a chart that explained what all the different sizes are rated at, so that cleared up a lot of the mystery of "what the hell do I put on here?" 👍🫡

Looking good, looking light weight looking like she will move. Can't wait to see her run! If I may add. The key to running mono's cool as can be.. is reduce drag, reduce drag, reduce drag.. Can't emphasize that enough.. You're almost there setting her up for open class mono racing!! Don't think that's your intent though.. If so, Throw the esc back by the motor SMC HCL HP 6s single pack up front on the tray It won't be the fastest boat in the class. BUT.. The fastest boats don't always win You'll run cool you'll run stable in the chop... And you'd be able to run at wot Great build series!

A 3000kv 4092 will be an amp hungry motor. You will need the castle hydra for that motor. For battery think smc srd cells. I would would say 6200 mah or higher, all depends on what you can fit comfortably on the battery mount. The motor will be amp hungry on 4s, you would have to settle for an abc 1714 to 1716 17 45 2 blade. If you can get say the 8600 mah smc srd cells, you may be able to try the 1814 to 1815 or 1816 17 45 2 blade props. Which would draw 315 to 330amps. Peak amps would be like 380 plus amps, which would drop of to the 315 to 330 when the motor reach peak speed. Ampdraw might be in excess of 250 amps on 4s with the 17 series size props. I can picture speeds of 60 plus on 4s.

@patricksmith6588 I've got 8600 4s SRD Packs & 11300 HP 3s Packs. The 3000kv might need the xlx2, but poseidon says it's 6s capable in less the 10 sec Bursts. So it's more of a speed run motor since it's a metal wrapped Rotor. I'll probably test it last in the series. First will be the 1650Kv, then a 2200kv, then the 3000.

@@H2oMechanic2RC,The 3000kv is a 2 hard passes setup on 4s. Then recharging the battery for the next 2 hard passes. If you try the 18 series size props with it, I would saw 1 hard pass. I think you need to set the low voltage cut of at 3.4v per cell. I tried a 2751kv 4092 before with an aggressive prop and I was fortunate my reciever got damage after a less than 2 second pass. When I when home and check the datalog I realize another passes would have likely damaged my smc srd 6200 v3 4s.

All top of the line components installed like it was factory made and great job on the servo mount, these wfly x9 remotes are as good as you can get based on reviews i have seen although i use the Spektrum Pro because of the launch control which is not only good for no prep drag but boats too.

Do you by chance remember what the rudder part # is? Did you have to do any fab to mount it up besides the servo linkage? Looking to build my Impulse more for pond hopping than racing so wanting the extra turning capability I saw in your video.

Thanks for the shout-out, I enjoy watching your building videos too.. keep up the good work! As for the little hydrodoplane I've since Chnged my mind on the side to side weight distribution on a hydro, I like the weight side to side to be perfectly even on each side, (balanced out) Hydroplanes are really flying while your running them and the props you'll be running on that little hull shouldn't torque roll the hull that bad.

@peteroosterhoff8850
@peteroosterhoff8850 5 күн бұрын
Concerns no, but few thoughts... You didnt weigh straps on the non adjustable which makes difference smaller. Also you can skuff of a lot off weight from the adjustable ones. Also you already added unnecessary weight by putting in a layer off carbon. That being said, would put wide simple one in. That should be enough to run 2-4s or one big 4s or 6s. Maybe for this build weight is important, don't know. My dom is far from light now, but have no issues in anyway with it since its a speed setup and it had to be reinforced and also has heavier electronics. It was bit more nimble stock/ reacts bit slower if you will, but thats it.

I have the pursuit which is very similar to your boat, in fact they use some of the same parts. I run 6s in mine and I have the wide simple carbon fiber battery mount. Just one. I've gotten 73 so far and she has more to give. So just wanted to give you that option. Also last video you were disappointed with the paint job. I just painted my pursuit with automotive paint in a can. It's candy apple red. It is excellent paint and dries really fast. The company is called kustom cans, with a "k". Thought you and your viewers might like it.

This is going to be a good build when completed, I have these carbon TFL sliding trays in my boat and they can be a pain in the ass, although in this hull maybe not as much but in a Cat they limit battery choices because they take up more room and they dont slide as easily as you would want, recommend changing the strap to a bit narrower, the TFL straps blocks the slide causing friction. I am impressed with your workmanship.

Word of advice, do not use the MHZ hardware. It’s all metric German spec hardware. I have the MHZ Mystic 114 cat and the stub shaft cannot be found anywhere except MHZ and it cost me $100 to ship to US. I would use standard hardware OSE sells. I’m considering changing my struts just to get standard shafts.

I totally understand about not being able to pull the battery out that's why I made a couple small blocks of wood running the length of my motor mount used really thin l-shaped aluminum and ran four screws through the bottom of the floor . That way I can pull my motor and replace the batteries if need be. Or you can just not use the wood blocks and use the l-shaped aluminum that you can get at Lowe's and both that to the floor that would work perfect to be able to pull the motor out and go back in the same place

I have a question on your shrimp rigger, what and how did you finish the outer skin of the rigger? Am I supposed to get some half ounce cloth and resin and cover the entire Rigoberto in cloth How to build up a shell? I’m not sure exactly how to proceed. I’ve got the thing finished. I just don’t know what to do to it to protect all the wood..

@UlisesBatalla I used 30 minute epoxy and a few drops of alcohol to thin it out, then I brushed the thin epoxy on the wood. Itll soak in & dry, then I lightly sanded the boat with 600/800grit. I added gorilla glue on all my seams the strengthen the joints.

Love your shrimp. I have just built and tried my first ever shrimp and it hops and skips too when you try and power in straight line.. I searched for an answer and watched your videos. Hey H2O, Check out DrJets vids, he has a ton of build info on the MHZ hulls, great little boats I may add. He just finished a MHZ T3 build he did that very thing mounting the motor up in the canopy.Cant wait to see them all the builds, my pick is the Zippykits 33, ( Super nice, fast, and stable ) I'm laying up my final seal coat on my second 33 as I type this.I strongly urge you to take a look at Sam Hallstrom's vids on his 33FE build, just to see and hear his ideas. With my first 33FE on the maiden, I was able to get 93.5 MPH out of it in a pond about 1/3 the size of the large pond you run on. Awesome content, when you get the larger Hull, Check out Pill Thomas hulls, there very nice hand layed hulls, I'm getting ready to start mine. I appreciate all the info/videos you and Big b produce, there very informative and are invaluable...... No disrespect at all, Ive been watching your channel for a bit, and feel your perfectly capable of hitting the sweet spot with your 33, I can give you my setup, just food for though.keep up the great work.BGFL
