일반적인 업장에서 보통 쓰는 오일 석션기 이긴 한데 구글에 RAASM 오일 석션이라고 치시면 나오는 그 장비 입니다. 사용해 본 것 중에 가장 강력한 흡입속도였습니다.ㅎ

안녕하세요~오래된 영상인데 봐주셔서 감사합니다~ㅎ 오일은 4리터 준비하고 작업 했었는데 조금 모잘랐던 기억이 납니다. 가능하면 더 준비하시면 좋으시겠지만 저 오일 가격이 만만치 않았던 기억이 납니다. 저 차량의 경우에는 냉각수가 섞인 상태라서 내부에 냉각수랑 섞여버린 오일이 완전히 교환이 이루어져야 했던 경우라서 모자라면 안되었던 상황였습니다. 일단 5리터 정도 준비하시고 작업 하실때 4리터를 사용하시면서 교환하시면 될 것 같습니다. 1리터는 여분으로 남겨두시고 시운전하면서 중간중간 레벨체크 하실때 사용하시면 됩니다. 그리고 차량을 흔드는 작업은 내부에 공기 빼는 작업입니다. 전용 진단기에는 자동 블리딩 활성화를 진행시키면 영상에서 보시는 것처럼 차량이 알아서 흔들면서 블리딩을 하게 됩니다. 범용진단기라도 있을수도 있는데 없다면, 메뉴얼 블리딩 모드가 있을 수도 있습니다. 메뉴얼 모드는 차량 하부에서 수동으로 블리딩 할때 진행하는 거고, 원래 정비 메뉴얼 대로라면 메뉴얼 블리딩 모드 활성화를 시킨 상태에서 하부에서 블리딩을 진행해야 블리딩이 재대로 된다고 적혀있습니다. 보유하신 진단 장비에 두 모드 다 없다 하시면 그냥 영상대로 교환 진행하시고, 시운전을 많이 하시면서 중간중간에 오일 레벨 체크 하시면서 오일레벨이 내려가는 대로 보충 하는 수 밖에 없을 것 같습니다. 이 경우 교환하실 때 최대한 공기가 안들어가도록 빨려들어가는 호스쪽으로 새 오일이 계속 주입 되도록 해주셔야 합니다. 차량이 움직여서 스테빌라이저가 움직여야 그 속의 오일이 도는 구조이기 때문에 그 안쪽까지는 교환이 한번에 안되고,(미션 오일 교환시에 토크 컨버터 오일이 남는것 처럼) 스테빌라이저 쪽 오일은 한참 운행해야 돌아돌아 레저버 탱크로 나오게 될 겁니다. 시간을 두시고 여러번 교환 하는것도 좋은 방법이지만 블리딩에 많은 시운전과 주행시간이 필요하니 유압라인과 레저버 탱크 오일만 새걸로 교환 하신다고 생각하시고 주기를 좀 짧게 가져가셔서 교환하시는게 금전적으로나 정신적으로나 더 나으실 거에요. 제 댓글이 도움이 되셨으면 좋겠습니다. 감사합니다ㅎ

@@CardoctorSteve 상세한 답변 너무 감사드립니다. 현재 하체 대부분을 교체 하였는데도 부욱부욱 아주 미세하게 소음이 발생해서 스테빌라이져가 가장 유력해서 오일교환을 먼저 해보려고 하거든요 유압식스테빌라이져는 금액이 너무 사악해서 작동은 하고 있는 부품을 무작정 교환하기가 무서워서 오일을 먼저 교환해 보려고 합니다. 혹시 L405 정비하실때 오일 교환 안해서 스테빌라이져에서 미세하게 소음이 있던 차량을 보신적 있으신가요??? 그 미세한 소음과 잔진동 때문에 너무 스트레스를 받아서요 상세한 설명 정말 감사 드립니다.

@@user-mx3sc2ev4g 제가 서비스 근무하는 동안은 소음 때문에 스테빌라이저나 오일 교환한 적은 없었습니다. 오일 색깔 체크 한번 해보시고 상태가 안좋아보이면 교환 한번 해보시구오. 설명해주신 부욱부욱 하는 소음이 어떤 소음인지는 모르겠습니다만. 하체 부품 교환이 거진 다 하셨다고 한다면 전반적으로 체크를 한번 차근차근 다시 해보십시요. 의외로 간단한 부분에서 놓치고 지나간 경우일수도 있습니다. 예를들면 언더커버 조임상태라든지, 장착에 응력이 생겼다던지, 휠하우스와 타이어 또는 언더커버, 에어쇽과의 간섭이라던지, 또 로워암 부싱 교환하셨다고 하셨는데 조립하실때 차량 하중 상태에서 규정토크를 주신건지 등등.. 그리고 소음이 간헐적으로 난다면 소음이 계속 날때까지는 좀 내려놓으시고 계속 타시다가, 시간이 지나서 무조건 날때 점검을 하시는게 속이 편하실겁니다. 계속 소음이 발생될때까지는 참고 타시다가 어느 시점에서 계속 나신다라고 하면 어떤 조건에서 무조건 나드라 하는 부분을 먼저 캐치하십시요. 그리고 사운드스코프를 보유하고 있으시다면 사운드 스코프로 증상 재현 시켜서 찾는 방법이 있습니다. 그리고 제일 좋은 방법은 정지상태에서 증상 재현을 할수 있으면 가장 좋습니다. 그러면 증상재현시 하체부품 하나하나 만져보면 진동이 느껴지는 부분을 찾기 가장 쉽습니다. 랜드로버는 하체는 튼실해서 다른 브랜드(특히 독일차들)에 비해 소음때문에 작업하는 경우는 적었었습니다. 부디 문제 해결에 제 답변이 도움이 되셨길 바랍니다. 원래 뭐 고장나서 고장부위 찾는거 보다 정상작동하는데 소음나는 문제가 많이 힘듭니다. 건투를 빕니다!!

Hello. firstly, thanks for your reply. I think so. the JLR manual said that the oil change interval has 32000km or 2 years, but most of vehicle company has 15000km or 1 years. So I suggest to my customer to change engine oil about 15000km or 1 years, until original service interval get. I actually have no idea what exactly the cause is. but I usually suggest that. In my country, vehicles usually drives at critical condition such as traffic jam, short distance drive and the atmosphere temperatures are hot and cold by the weather, etc. not like big country. thanks again for your reply.

@@CardoctorSteve thanks so much for your advice! I'm looking forward to buy a second hand Land Rover Discovery 5 SD4 (with this engine model) from 2017. It has engine replaced ... The original one died at 110000 km (I've looked at service history and the oli was changed once at 30-34000 km) I think that was the main cause... Anyway, now it has a new same Ingenium / 204DTA engine with 15000 km made for now. Do you recommend to buy this Disco 5 with new engine considering the bad reputation for reability of it? I would make a much often oil change (once in 10000 km) if that keeps it young. I like the overall car ... Thank you again!

@@ursudanalin if the engine replaced, it will be fine. i think that engine usually died just before warranty over or just after. around 100,000km mileage. lucky customer got engine died before warranty. lol. good luck and make sure your new car has engine oil change every 10,000km then it will be much better. however, discovery 5 is nice car with strong chassis, noise canceling inside the car due to good sealing from water passing and for utility such as off road camping.

@@ursudanalin our shop usually use Castrol full synthetic 5w-30. I suggest to use additive oil such as anti metal scratch or valve lifter from liquimoly when you change engine oil. engine become much reduce noise and get softer. liquimoly ones are nice.

yes, this case same. in this case i replaced bare engine assembly.

hi. i have no idea how to do that. i never tried to change only rotor. i don't know how they sell the part at Hyundai. another brand usually sell rotor and the teeth together that already been assambled. sorry for helpless reply.

Yikes, I couldn't disagree more. I've got a 2016 w/ a supercharged V8 that is AWD and it's the most fun car I've ever driven in my life, by far! Insane acceleration while remaining firmly planted and w/ that exhaust note? Jaguar knew what they were doing. This car is outstanding.

Hi. The engine hadn't been starting. It had been broken the timing chain guide. I think the oil pressure suddenly become low and the tentioner was not working properly then the loosed chain hit the guide in my thinking.:) thanks for comment

@@CardoctorSteve Thanks for the background information. I came past this video by chance, as I'm investigating the reliability of the Ingenium i6 engine though this is the i4.

@@tempestv8 I am not sure for i6 ingenium reliablity. it just installed on new defender and start selling about only half year ago in my country. new technologies got into new engine. for example, electric turbo installed that help to get more power in turbo lag range(low engine speed) like that. we also need to investigate that from the cases of issue in the future.

스테빌라이저 오일도 교환주기가 있어요~근데 저 차량은 손님이 실수로 저기 냉각수 보충하셔서 교환했었어요~그래서 저 작업 일주일 단위로 세번 정도 더 했었어요~ 한 10만쯤 오일상태 확인하시고 많이 더럽다 싶으면 교환하시면 되고 깨끗하면 좀 더 타셔도 되요~ㅎ

@@user-pe9uk2rf4k 랜드로버 차는 그래도 하체가 튼실한 편이어서 타브랜드에 비하면 부싱이라든지 하체작업은 좀 적은 편입니다. 하체 소음 포함 하체작업은 서비스에 있을때 작업빈도수가 적었었어요~ 저희는 터보 교환 작업하고나면 누유로 인한 재작업은 거의 없었었는데 이상하네요. 4번이나 하셧다니.. 쨋든 4.4 엔진작업은 엔간하면 엔진 내려서 해야해요 공간이 안나와서 안내리고 없는 공간에 억지로 하다가 작업하자 나기 일쑤라서.ㅠㅠ타브랜드에 비해 엔진내리기도 좀 수월하기도 하고 해서 보통은 내려서 작업했었어요~ 창원 센터 있다가 나와서 자기꺼 차려서 하는 친구 있는데 그 친구 잘해서 소문나고 있던데 소개시켜 드릴까요?

I think that is depands on the engine mounted. maybe you can replace timing chain without taking out the engine if the engine mounted longitudinally. you will need to take out the radiator and impact bar for the space. but if the engine mounted transversely, there is no space to work with the timing chain. you will need to take out the engine. hope this reply help your work.

Does this engine require a timing chain replacement at a particular service interval? Or should the timing chain be expected to last the lifetime of the engine?

@@tempestv8 It would be no required to change the timing chain. I didn't see the timing chain replace interval on the manual. that engine just happened to damage the chain tention guide.

@@tempestv8 at the dealer, they gave me a service schedule, timing chain and guides show due at 180k miles. Actual may vary on the way you drive and maintain.... i change oil and filter every 5k with the correct spec oil and factory oil filter. That's me on my jag, since i intend to have it around for a long time. I don't drive wild, I drive my car gentle. I truly love our jag and have had so far zero issues (other than a battery replacement). Hope this helps :o)

They didn't retune it, they slapped a OPF on it which muted things. 99% of new cars sound awful, even the F type sounds tame now

​@@Chris-nj1mr What you're saying is actually not entirely true, although a very wide spread misconception. It's not the OPF that makes the modern cars quiet (although it certainly doesn't help), it's the emission regulations, which were implemented at pretty much the same time! If it just were for the OPF they could just eliminate one or two exhaust mufflers after installing the it and the car would basically be as loud as before. Unfortunately they can't because of the regulations.

@@AAO-92 I still totally disagree with you. And no the interior didn't change at all with the newest version, just some little touches like details in headlight and it doesn't need. Jaguar F Type's interior is amazing like this.

hi. this engine's life time would be actually depend on how much you have done the maintenence good. the company suggests the service interval as 2 years or 32000km but I think that is too long. And i think it would cause to damage engine. I think this engine is needed to replace engine oil every 10000km. it would help to live as long as possible. i think this engine has good performances but has some issues as well. i want to suggest you that it is needed to repair before expired warranty. if you think or have some a little problem to your car, should go to dealership before the problem get bigger. thanks for your question.

@@CardoctorSteve thank you. We will change oil every 9-10.000 km. We also want to own this car for 10+years and 200.000 km. Do you know about zf 9hp48? Do it have a good/bad reability? I hear that 9hp48 and ingenium 18+MY don't have last issues and they have better reability. It is true? (Sorry for my English)

zf mission is good reliable transmission. don't worry about that. just don't forget to change transmission fluid every 80000km.
