So let me get this straight, everyone in the comments saying this is typical kid/baby behavior has kids that did the exact same things? Your kids constantly flaps, starts crying when you made a car sound effect, showed they were sensitive to sounds and lights, ignored you when you called their names 100times, does grunting and humming sounds 247? Lol ok.

Seriously. It’s like they missed the “constant” or “repetitive” parts. Maybe they saw their kid do it once or twice…

This is my 18 month old grandson to a T, he does all of what you show in this video, from spinning wheels and other objects, to pacing, and he will not respond to his name at all. When he’s in the bathtub, he constantly kicks his legs and spins in the tub. I’ve suspected this for a few months now, and this absolutely confirms my suspicions. I know this is a sore subject, but I saw a drastic change in his entire personality after he received his 12 month shots, he started smiling less, he no longer responded to his name and he did that before his 12 month shots.

Suggestion to all parents pls don't let your kids to be too much behind screens that will destroy them, some behaviour exactly cause of that, play with them, talk, give them all your love and time, don't give them phones just to calm them or to grab little time for yourself, they need you

My niece is literally exactly like this and I've been worried about her since she was 2 months old. She's now 15vmonths old and does all this behavior and more, hasn't spoken and not even babbles but a time or two. No one in the family wants to hear there is something wrong because she is the first blood grandbaby and they are blinded by that.

My daughter was way more social and responsive at this age and earlier. Mostly responded to her name, was easily redirected to other activities, did not spin the wheels, did mot stuck on same activity, wasn't hiper or hypo sensitive. Pointed a lot, and also shared emotions. But she mainly avoided eye contact, she never smiled back, only babbled to her toys and not people and overall was speech delayed. Still dx with autism

Ok I don’t ever comment on videos but this video actually really upsets me. These are behaviors every 18 month old I know does.... so this is just going to scare a bunch of parents. Getting stuck on repetitive behavior is part of discovering- not responding to ones name can be just a form of not really wanting to be distracted from why has their attention. Spinning things?? That’s part of learning how things work!!! This is suuuuch a bad idea to put something like this out here. I understand you may have had other reasons and your pediatrician certainly did, for the diagnosis but these are not concerning signs!!! All littles do this!

Why do you involve yourself so much with his play. He is interested in the spinning wheels that make the truck go back and forth, he is upset because you ruined his focus and HIS play. Children repeat actions to learn how things work. I was getting frustrated for him watching him be constantly interrupted.. people need to stop blaming learning and observation on autism.

@SoniaLeli
@SoniaLeli Жыл бұрын
@@sararosewood1412 Hi! My son just turned 8 years old. When he was 1 I started to notice some kind of weird behaviors such as flapping his hands and covering his ears with his hands, it was almost impossible to be around other people with him because he started to cry and flap his hands constantly. By age of two he started to show repetitive behavior, he was obsessed with opening and shutting doors over and over again for several minutes. He used to spin his car's wheels obsessively and would get really frustrated when I took them away from him. He was behind other kids his age in many different areas, and his speech was poor not to say almost absent. At age of 2 he barely says three words that he didn't use to communicate instead, he used to repeat the same words and phrases over and over again. I took him to therapy for 2 years. At 3 something started to change, his repeated behaviors stopped, and his speech started to improve, I really don't know what happens but between ages 3 and 5 all of those behaviors just disappeared. He now speaks very clearly, plays with other kids normally, and behaves just like any other kid.

@@ravikiran8047 Hi! my son didn't respond to his name after two years and a half, or maybe almost three. He started to say words after two years old but never used them to communicate, instead, he would repeat words or phrases obsessively. After three something just changed, I don't really know what it was but he started to communicate much more and many of his repeated behaviors just disappeared.

Based off the video, every child ever born in the history of mankind is autistic. Clearly he is just being a 18 month old baby. Only thing he did that was sorta alarming was putting hands over his ears, even that’s a stretch. A behavioral specialist I recently watched said Autism cases are rising at a alarming rate because a large amount of kids are misdiagnosed.

I just see a child. He seems to be investigating how things work & that is what children do. He seems focused and annoyed by the interruptions. Everyone has different characteristics so I don't see why children are any different. Maybe that's his personality. Some people are social some aren't so I don't understand that diagnosis with autism either. Just as adults don't socialize w every other adult why are children expected to? Boys naturally love cars & wheels, maybe he will be a car enthusiast when he's older. Baby toys have all kinds of different things you can flip or spin, it's part of learning how things work. Honestly if someone kept repeating my name while I was focused on a project, I'd probably ignore them until I eventually had to scream too. No offense. 🤣🤷‍♀️ We can't expect children to do what WE want every second of the day. Let them be kids. Let them explore their environment. God bless you both! God bless the children!

Parents, don't over react. All children do most if not all of the behaviors. The ones to watch for are things like not responding to their name or having zero verbal skills. Even then, don't over react. The best advice this video gives is about mentioning your concerns to a trained professional.
