Really one more bean is not going to make that big of difference. In that case I made a 27 and three quarter bean soup take that

I have been making Detroit Style Pizza for years and it took a long time to perfect it. I make my own sauce and dough and it turns out great but did not perfect it until I watched Joseph Maino videos on making the crust. A Lloyds pan or similar helps a lot. Check out his videos on making the dough. I also par bake the crust but some don't. Good luck.

I will have to look into those videos! I will have to attempt to make my own dough then....someone else just suggested the par bake...that may help! Thanks for the input, appreciate it!

i would recommend that after you put the garlic paste on, put dough in oven for 10 minutes, take out then add sauce and cheese and cok another 10-15 minutes depending on your oven heat.

I've read that the reason that one should wait until near the end of cooking to add acidic ingredients like tomatoes or lemon juice, is because the acid interferes with getting the beans to soften. I've seen the La Preferida 16 Bean bags on Amazon, but my local supermarket only has the Hurst 15 Bean bags.
@skeeter3314 ай бұрын
You’re right! That is the reason, thanks for making that clearer! I am fortunate to live near many Hispanic grocery stores so finding the 16 bean isn’t difficult but that’s great if it’s available on Amazon for people who can’t find it near them! Thanks for sharing!

Nothing like de-stemming 20 pounds of spinach and trimming the strawberries every morning at 4:30 am! I worked at W.B. on GBay Rd. Thanks for sharing this. I have been wanting to make it lately. I live in Portland and have been to the Original Pancake House, it's close to where I work. I had no idea it was the absolute first one. I've chatted with them about working at W.B.'s good times. Nothing like a line wrapped around the parking lot and down the block every Sunday. Totally worth it!
@skeeter331 Жыл бұрын
It's so crazy to me that here now in the Chicago area there are quite a few W.B that have popped up-and now they serve lunch meals like lots of sandwiches and salads! In my day-they were straight breakfast fare. I haven't been in a few years-and I did see at a Tony's foods that they are now commercially selling their apple pancake-but I really want to go and see if the food quality is the same. You're right-there's a reason that line wrapped around the building. Haven't been to Wilmette in ages but I'm going to guess there still is, if the same quality is there!

Now.....the uniform everybody wears is BLACK...just like the bartenders and ToGo servers.... It looks like Olive Garden employees just came from a sad funeral...everybody wearing black with no tie....SMH..😢

Thank you! And yes I was in that era too, started in 1998. The food quality has really gone down and the recipes are not nearly as creative or unique as they were. Now its how many different ways they can serve mozzarella and tomatoes together. Yes white shirt and apron....I finally learned how to tie a tie thanks to that job lol and we were allowed to wear whatever kind of ties we wanted to, which made it fun and brought some personality to it all. Remember having to decorate the green Hospitaliano button? I think I still have mine somewhere. Buona Festa!
