Make a report to the governing agency over used car dealers. In most states it would be the Secretary of State. They have records of the cars he has returned to the road, and sold.

I understand the point of this air bag not working so bypass with wiring...I have jeep installed a 4 point harness bar and upgrade seats belt to harness. I installed a resistance plug as I'm not using stock seatbelt anymore, but to just bypass this w/o airbag yup this is crazy

You’re the best! Don’t worry about what the bums say, you’re doing a great service for your community. I helped a buddy out at his 2 bay body shop and we’d get lightly wrecked cars and even those that had airbags and seatbelt tensioners that had gone off. We took them out and sent them to a company that repairs them so they will actually function again. Not once did we ever think of not fixing the airbags and tensioners. So don’t you worry what you’ve done will get around and it’s appreciated.

Attaboy, Keith... Big time kudos to you for doing the right thing and then calling this guy out. I see that a couple of your viewers have beat me to it and posted your video to their review page. I hope karma comes for these guys big time. There will ALWAYS be scumbags like these guys trying to save money and take short cuts. But, because you were brave enough to post this video, people will have breadcrumbs and links here if they do some research BEFORE purchasing a vehicle there. And, who knows... Maybe this guy will change his ways because you called him out... We can hope. In the meantime, you have done what you can to educate us. Thank you so much for having done that. I'm proud to be a subscriber to your channel.

If this was my home area....as a licensed automotive technician I could literally take this car off the road with the assistance of the governing body in that area. This is insane and that car shouldn't be on the road. That dude is a joke.

There are vehicles out there with sub standard welding repairs in certain Western countries. Sometimes customers sell cars back to themselves that have been repaired by unfamiliar techs etc. Quality control is an issue.

This is criminal what the person who did it is! Selling something like this is insane and no regard for anyones life! Can this not be reported to a ministry of transportation/safety? Its not a sensor its a resistor! Orders them but couldn’t find them! Wow so many lies! Its like dealing with s child! Putting in but he still modified the wiring harness. All I can say is WOW.

The mass air flow sensors on these newer gm vehicles are shaped weird. They have a tunnel that the air has to flow through, and because of this, the box and air filter must be correct. Cheap aftermarket filters can affect this. Cheap aftermarket replacement air boxes and air lids can affect this. The factory air filters have a pre-filter glued on them, and if that is missing or damaged, it will skew the reading. And of course this means the air filter lid has to be secured properly.

Yeah, you did right…. Context clues….. dude cut the harness the resistance CHANGES when spicing wires…. CASE CLOSED…. No justification necessary, I honestly woulda have questioned it, reported it, and still billed him diag… Could push it outside your gate off property, and it spontaneously combusts…😂 I mean documented BOTCHED wiring

It does MORALLY put you into a spot kinda where IRATE customers want their car back, even though the shop won’t release it due to safety concerns are addressed… Let’s invent a UNIVERSAL database for SERVICEABLE VINS, where it has its whole life service record on file, like google… punch in vin, get it recognized on a national DMV level, if a mech deems a car UN OPERABLE…. It goes in the data base, vin/lic/registration revoked until it’s been serviced….

I have been in the business for over 40 years,I have seen many scum bags buy totaled cars and "fix" them for resale. There is nothing wrong with repairing a damaged vehicle, many vehicles are totaled for reasons beyond the primary damage, and parts availability is a huge factor today. But I have seen far to many vehicles that should never have been put back on the road, repaired by people who should not be repairing anything. I have seen fake airbags, resistors in place of replacement components, spot welds on structural components, seam sealer used to fill 1/2 inch gaps, holes drilled to allow water to drain, spray foam to fix rust etc. The bottom line is if you can not perform a thorough inspection yourself, pay the couple hundred dollars to a reputable shop and have it done, and a carfax report is only as good as the paper trail thay preceded the car. When all the insurance auctions opened to the public for bidding is when we started to see the industry start to fall. There were always shady people in the business, but now it has grown dramatically, and it's shops like this ( the seller) that give a bad name to the industry. We repair many vehicles for resale, and all of them go through an enhanced inspection before resale,we have never had a car come back after the sale, not one.

I encourage you guys to utilize vinwiki if you run into these situations in the future. Thank you for sharing this, and exposing these folks.
