I'm thinking the company that eventually tore down the vacant house or houses along there dozed a lot of the junk scrap from them into the river so they would not have to pay to have it taken away. Awesome finds guys, stay safe, cheers. 😊

The big metal loop is called a thimble. It's used to make an eye in the end of a steel cable or rope. It strengthens the eye and protects it from wearing out due to friction.

I have question, on every other magnet fishing channel they sometimes find guns but you have never shown finding a gun, Do you edit out your gun finds?

I bet you that after they tore down the house and hauled all the big stuff off, they pushed all the small debris into the river.

Seeing as you are in a waterway, I have to agree those spikes with rings were used to move logs around easier. Similar ones are used on mountains to string cables to assist climbers.

Those rings with the spike were used to hammer into a log, then you can tow the log...we called them dogs.

Hi Tyler I think a milkman had gotten fed up and threw his baskets in the river! Those mysterious gear finds are so interesting! I wonder how they were even made and for what use? I think worth restoring. Good luck next time finding your magnet! Cheers! 🎉
