How 2 shrink shoes 2 big
@goldersromatoowoomba372Ай бұрын
Hi, the best way to make shoes that are to big fit better is to use a innersole. If you can find one that is thick enough it will take a lot of room out of the shoe.
@propertyofranger2 ай бұрын
I didn’t realise that some Akubras have hat bands that are manufactured overseas! How disappointing. How can you find out which bands are made in Australia?
@goldersromatoowoomba3722 ай бұрын
You can ask in store when you are looking to purchase or contact Akubra directly and ask about a specific style.

I have narrow feet and I've worn Converse my whole life But now I need to use steel toe work boots and the toe cap is always so darn narrow even for my feet that it prevents my toes from splaying when I step. The tip has no flex it's insanely uncomfortable. I tried going wider boots and those are too wide my foot is just knocking around in there. Any idea what I could do? Regular is too narrow and wide is too wide
@goldersromatoowoomba3723 ай бұрын
With a steel tip boot you are better off going wide than narrow. To help with the wider boots you could looks at getting a custom inner sole or even just a thick one off the shelf or some bigger work socks. However, you would be best off shopping around as many brands as possible to find one that fits naturally.

Definitely depends on the shoe, but some shoes inner soles have a large amount of cushion so removing it can provide pretty significant space.

Yep. Have worn Akubra on & off for years.. It is annoying though in a tough country like Australia just how fragile these hats are. Can’t leave them here.. can’t put them there.. don’t get them wet.. don’t let them get hot.. don’t place them brim down .. etc.. etc.. makes it difficult to go bush with them.. he, he, he..
@goldersromatoowoomba3726 ай бұрын
Hi, a lot of the suggestions for Akubra hats are more about preserving the hat for decades... if they get hot, cold, wet, etc. in most cases it wont immediately ruin an Akubra but it will reduces its life span.

Oh wow they fit perfect now!! lol I took the sole out after fixing the laces. Quick question. Would it be worth putting the insole back in and breaking them in as I can? Or using a boot stretcher? Especially seeing as they fit pretty good in the mid foot area without the insole
@goldersromatoowoomba3726 ай бұрын
If they fit well without the soles, you can wear them for a week or so and then put the soles back in and see if they have stretch to a point they are comfortable. We haven't had much to do with Boot Stretchers but theoretically they can help.

@goldersromatoowoomba372 Жыл бұрын
Hi, this is a bit of a tricky one... any shoes shouldn't hurt your feet but that being said if you get a fresh pair of boots and wear them for a whole day of work then you can expect a bit of uncomfort. Is it rubbing pain or is it from your toes touching the end of the shoe?
@hc4151 Жыл бұрын
The boot has a composite safety toe. It hurts where the boot bends. The top of my big toes hurt.
@goldersromatoowoomba372 Жыл бұрын
This may get better over time as the material loosens but if it is caused by the hard safety material it may not.
