She has absolutely the correct manner for the job. Now she just needs the brains to go with. Dreadful caper that. Poor Captain's just been emergency stopped from taking off due to a bomb threat. The guy's had to take everything on board because she doesn't seem to understand in good old Bermuda the gravity of the situation. Idk if there's a bomb or not yet but if there had been, there'd be no survivors on this plane.

50,000# of fuel and 197 passengers. I'm surprised the Captain didn't give them 15 minutes to get the airstairs to the plane before they deployed the emergency slides. Remember, he's sitting in the same sky sausage.

So basically "Well Speedbird, there was a threat against the terminal too so we are helping all of those people on the ground exit the building, but all of you trapped in a giant gas can should be fine waiting a little longer" got it.

BA should quit flying there, at all costs. So if a bomb had detonated all the emergency services were going to watch as their Protocal os not to approach. Laughable if it weren't for real.

Bloody hell. Tower: "You've got a bomb on your plane with 200 people on board and 50 tonnes of fuel. Stay right where you are, while I pop you on hold for an hour. We do hope you chaps don't blow up."

FAA Advisory Circular 3/3/18 AC No: 90-66B Initiated by: AFS-800 9.9.1 A short approach is executed when the pilot makes an abbreviated downwind, base, and final legs turning inside of the standard 45-degree base turn. This can be requested at a towered airport for aircraft spacing, but is more commonly used at a non-towered airport or a part-time-towered airport when the control tower is not operating, when landing with a simulated engine out or completing a power-off 180-degree accuracy approach commercial-rating maneuver.

When I left for work yesterday, they were swapping the motor out. Probably drove the motor in from the SFO MOC. At least it was close by.

I didn’t hear a Mayday call. I think that’s important with smoke in the cabin or cockpit.
@herkloader34
@herkloader34 16 күн бұрын
Oh yeah, you're right. This emergency would've gone so much better if he declared "Mayday" three times first. That way, the YT quarterbacks like yourself wouldn't have anything to criticize. Nevermind the fact that he was probably struggling to get the mask on, fly the airplane, and talk to ATC, while safely getting it back on the ground. I'm sure he'll read your stupid f***ing comment about "Mayday" and kick himself in the ass for missing that. Seriously, Karen, find something better to complain about.

Guys, I have found the root of the issue: all the people working in the airports are idiots and all the people in the comment section are experts. That's why the plane wasn't evacuated within a minute after an e-mail came in!

I guess replacing the slides is so expensive it's just not worth it???? Yeah, I get the threat was probably untrue, but what if it wasn't? Slides can cause injuries, yes, but better a couple of injured passengers than 200 exploded passengers, right? Poor airport management and poor cabin management.
