A lot of negative comments here. This is a product video for slings, and it shows a clean fitting of the sling on the bed. When people say "Yeah, but in the real world..." they mean they haven't dared raise a safeguarding concern over a rushed care call staffed by under-trained care workers, who were maybe told to watch this video and call THAT their training. And there are always going to be variations around the needs of the client and the realities of the space and the equipment within it. This video is basic good technique (a couple of things that I'd do differently, but nothing that made me wince too hard), adapt to the client's needs, people.

i just did a care assistant course their do kinda of do it differently these's days. and u miss out the important part.. the lift from bed into his comfy chair.. then a lift from his chair to his bed...

That hoist looks identical to the hoist that I used to lift out car engines 'I bet is almost the same 'who cares as long as it does what s IRS supposed to

This is a easy client , how about with a heavy one

How convenient that they don't show how to remove the harness from the patient

Compromised service users safety ..no bed rails ...also you wont get a service user who can easily roll for you disabilities etc.or may be too nervous/anxious too ... So therefore will need another carer to complete task & stand either side of the bed..& bed should then be the height of the smallest person...

I love my job in one of the best hospitals in California, to do right thing follow rules like confidentiality and others serve this beatifull country.

So we don’t get to see the important bit of coming off the bed and then positioned to the chair - why ?
