I just wanted to point something out. Hopefully this will help somebody avoid an issue in the future. I've got my TV mounted and it looks great. When you pull it straight out it's centered. However I wasn't thinking about the fact that because the arm is over a foot long that when you slide it to the right or left to lay it flat. It won't be centered anymore. So I should have put it another foot and a half or so over on the next stud. Oh, well. Lesson learned

I really appreciate you making this video! It's very helpful. I just wanted to point out. I noticed that you didn't show how you found the stud, and some people have never done that before. Also, some people might need to to be taught how to measure and center the TV in the right place on their wall . I really like your video though thanks😊

Is there a bass setting?
@oldgoatdiy
@oldgoatdiy 5 күн бұрын
That would be handled through the equalizer of the device it is connected to. This speaker does have movie, music, talk modes. These are minor differences. Then again since your asking about bass, what really are you expecting from smaller speakers? For good bass, you'd need 12-18 probably best to deal with 12-15 if you want a nicer range. For watching things on TV though, this thing is louder then my Bose and oddly has way better sound quality. Of course my Bose is close to a decade older so technology might have improved some.

@TayvionJohnson probably right around 12 minutes if ya don't count dropping bolts then having to search for them under the table. Used to do them in about 6 minutes when I was putting them together in store. Not a horrible build rate when the stores were paying 5$ each of these.

What are the dimensions and weight, is it 24 inches wide with the 18 in path? Or is it 21, 22, 23 width. I cannot find that and was it easy to manuever around garage and garden and does it get close to a fence? Enjoyed your video, you made it look easy. Not sure if 16 or 18 inch path is best for me. Thanks for video.
@oldgoatdiy
@oldgoatdiy 21 күн бұрын
The title says 18". It's a reel mower, you push forward, pull backwards, no harder to turn than a rotary push mower. Gets a wheels width away from things, same way a rotary push mower would.

You're supposed to use a socket wrench to put the bracket into the wall. Not a screwdriver.
@oldgoatdiy
@oldgoatdiy 25 күн бұрын
I'm perplexed because no screw driver was used at all by me.... I used a driver, that had a socket on it, hence it was being used as a socket wrench, which is the preferred way of doing this type of work. I may have seen one contractor use a socket wrench, once back in the 1980s. Essentially you're saying you can not frame a wall with a framing nailer, you have to use the old swing and hit your thumb nailer to build a frame.

You cal say "Alexa, set alarm" and she will set that up for you. You'll need to open the app up and set a routine to be triggered after the alarm is dismissed to turn your TV on. Would be easier just to set routine to trigger at a certain time and turn TV on.

I was the first one to stay in this house. I was passing through Gatlinburg and got a job building this cool house and stayed in it while working on it. You could cool it with an ice cube and heat it with a match, I would say because it was like a giant cooler. They brought in the enclosed hot tub and I could sit in it and see the stars at night. My brother and I would take the cutouts from the windows and doors and stand on them and ride down the river, the foam was around 5 inches thick.

Use a lower number on the chuck to reduce the torque. On the Hart (if using a different brand just set it lower, to save your hand/wrist) 20 is about hand tight (21 is a LOT more torque) The only real concern is over tightening by having too high of a torque, or using the wrong bolt for the TV (mainly too long of one, coupled with a higher torque). At least I'm assuming you are meaning for attaching the TV to the faceplate.

can you put it down on after it rains? seems like since you have to water it in, it shouldnt be a big deal if its already wet?
@oldgoatdiy
@oldgoatdiy Ай бұрын
It really isn't a big deal if the ground is wet when applying it. In fact it is recommended to do early in morning or late evening when the grass would be damp anyway. Can even get the concentrate and add water to it and apply it as a liquid. Watering it in seems to be a bit of a debate. Many experts recommend waiting 1-2 days after applying it; however, just as many experts state it should be watered in directly after applying.
