That tire is very flexible, must be new. Mine is very hard to remove due to age.😢

I call BS. A thick stiff tire is almost impossible to pry back on. This is like a toy tire.

Getting the tube in the hole was trickiest part. Used soap on rim to make tire slip on easier too. Great vid.

Damaged a tire on my Scag Zero turn. The dealer wanted $150 for one rear tire. kzfaq.infoUgkx985f3iNjxHFMO6JoE7CSGActiIEyumFx Local tire store wanted $95 for one tire and both said I would need two tires because the replacements were 2 ply and the OEM was 4 ply which would result in different diameters when inflated if not mounted in pairs. I ordered two of these for less than $90, they arrived in two days instead of the promised 5 days. they are 4 ply rated and when mounted I can't tell the difference with the Grassmaster that came on my Scag, except the sidewall doesn't appear to be as stiff. Tread pattern is identical with the Grassmaster. Will keep the other new tire as an extra if the other OEM is damaged.

Great demo! Thanks so much for the thorough brevity-what the world needs now.

What kind of soft ass tire is that?! My garilla cart tire might at we'll be made of metal. You absolutely cannot "press" the tire over the rim.

Taking the valve cap off doesn't help, the hole in the rim is too big. My tires are too rigid to push it back on, even with something under the rim to elevate it a little. I greased it, I heat gunned it to soften the tire. No luck .These things are truly a PITA.

Need to check tire for nails or foreign objects before you install new tube or you'll have same problem., Sorry needed to say it

Where can I purchase the inner tubes?
@causewaykayak2 жыл бұрын
I have also posted this elsewhere on UT. The job is hard unless you set up ok. "I have a kayak trolley which regularly gets inner tube punctures. Easy way to replace cover on plastic rim. No need for tyre irons usually. I put a length of plastic conduit through the axle hole in the hub. This drops into a hole in my heavy timber workbench. This holds hub steady and i can ease the cover on with finger pressure. Lubricate first - washing up liquid is fine." Hope this tip saves lots of sore fingers and pinched inner tubes.

I'm no pro but it helps to lube the rim with some talcum powder. Also if the rim is sitting on something like a wood block around 1" thick it will help to push the tire down onto it. Make sure the block is not wider than the rim. Put it on the ground and kneel on the end of the tire that is seated in the rim. This stops it from popping back up as you try to work the rest under the rim. Using this technique works with bigger wheels that you can't just push in with your hands.

This helped me greatly. I tried it before watching this and punched holes in my tire tubes, very frustrating. This vid made it go smoothly.

The amount of times I've struggled to get the tyre back on by leveraging not realising the easiest way is to lay it down and push either side with your hands. Thanks a million for posting this!
@benblunt67492 жыл бұрын
Good video but I would check that whatever punctured the tube in first place (through tyre wall maybe) wasn’t still in wall of tyre before changing tube. Otherwise when you reinflate new tube, it will just puncture again. Should always check.

Useful. But i am yet to remove the wheel from the cart itself. Pls make a video how to remove the wheel first. AFter that, i can use your tutorial to change the tube.

That works great when the tire is still fairly new and flexible. But when it's old and stiff, it doesn't stretch. Can't get it off the rim.
