Something I have to point out about Gilgamesh is his Divinity Rank. Heracles has a Divinity Rank of A which is granted to him not just because he is a demigod but because he later on became an actual God and so we could argue that A rank is either near or God level. Gilgamesh meanwhile has A+ rank Divinity by nature meaning by normal means he is above normal god level and possibly considered higher god level. The funny thing though is Gilgamesh’s hatred towards the gods is so strong he forces the ranking down two ranks to B.

Saber never beat Gilgamesh. Saber + a divine relic beat Gilgamesh. The whole point of that part of the story was that it wasn’t a noble phantasm nor related to her as a Servant, but was the actual relic itself, and, as such, was using unlimited power. Whereas the servants are just summoned entities comprised of mana, whose attacks are subject to also being dependent on how much mana they have access to, Avalon isn’t bound by any of that and as an item can simply negate any attack. To say Saber can beat Gilgamesh, because she beat Gilgamesh with actual Avalon, is like simultaneously saying she can’t beat Gilgamesh, because Gilgamesh could also have just had Avalon, and then she’d be boned. Or like saying there’s absolutely no way Saber could ever beat Gilgamesh, because there’s some hypothetical scenario where Gilgamesh gets his actual sword Ea (not the noble phantasm) back, in which case he could just obliterate the entire world including all beasts etc, since it’s attack power isn’t limited by mana or the servant system. Including an actual relic in the determinations of the discussion makes it meaningless. May as well say, oh, well Shakespeare is the strongest servant because he can go find a nuke and blow up all the other servants lol

A lot of my favorites just happen to be really powerful. Super Orion, Qin Shi Huang, Ozymandius (nowadays anyway), etc. But I also love a lot of weaker servants to death. Li Shuwen from this same lostbelt as an example. I'm just gonna roll for and play with favorites. If they wind up synergizing that's a cool bonus.
