I listened to this piece " Rather go blind" sung by Etta James, Tina Turner ,Beyoncè and others. Some were great Interpretations In live others in studio , in movies with choruses, with vocalists, with "tears" flowing from eyes with long eyelashes, all certainly with participation according to their soul, but I can say that, at least for me, Beth, especially the version at the Paradise in Amsterdam. with Joe Bonamassa at guitar ,really put a soul, through voice and gestures, which encompasses love, fear, jealousy, resentment, anger and, at the end you feel the sweetness and pain together asking not to be abandoned and, preferring to say that it would be better to go blind not to see the betrayal Love from Roma,Italy.

John has actually done musical theatre. I would recommend you reacting to John singing Gethsemane from the Australian production of Jesus Christ Superstar the musical; the one from the final performance in Sydney.

No, it's not a white flag, but an action done by classical singers; usually to wipe their brow, and audience respond with 'bravo'.

Granada is a song written in 1932 by Mexican composer August in Lara. The song is about the Spanish city of Granada, and has become a standard in music repertoire; often sung operatically, with English lyrics by Australian lyricist Dorothy Dodd. The first performance of the song was in 1949 by Mario Lanza, and has been recorded by both contemporary and classical singers; from Frank Sinatra to Pavarotti.

When Anthony asks for a towel, he is mimicking Michael Crawford's character Frank Spencer from Some Mothers Do Have Them; Anthony played The Phantom of the Opera in the Australian production, and Michael Crawford was the original 'Phantom' in the British production.

I love Beth, I love the woman she is, I love her voice and the songs she writes. I love her anger, her sweetness, her forgiveness, her crying, her struggle to feel alive. I love Beth because when I listen to her I hear her life so difficult, but also her strength to save herself. She, with her music and words, is a help to everyone as well. Thank you Beth for the gift you give to us.. With your always fabulous groups and you being the greatest, I never get tired of listening to her Love from Italy, from Rome.

Im 3yrs late but Beethoven eventually got deaf through his years as he got older.. he composed music while he was deaf... Only by feeling the vibrations of the strings of the piano.. reasons why that was tragic story for him because we could've done much more if he has his hearing.. with his talent for music hope dis helps
