When I come down my dirt road my cat is always sitting in the driveway waiting for me. Every single day he does this. He has did for 3 years now. Hasn’t missed a day Monday-Friday.

I went a month without seeing my cats since- Divorce parents changed up the schedule for a bit- My one cat Mittens laid on my chest spread out facing me with her laying her head down on my neck purring like crazy while the other one Amber was meowing over and over again. You are correct. Which is why I say in the comments that we had a house sitter. These cats had a human there every day.

I ounce went to Canada for 3 weeks. Left my cat Riff Raff at the ranch. Picked him up and as I was unpacking he hopped onto my backpack made sure to hold eye contact and Pissed all over it.

There were definitely 3 different reactions. Lol "I hate you," "who gives a care," and "omg you're back, I love you." I rarely leave my house and I've had my cat since she was 3 weeks old-she is 3 years old now, and I think she would be mad and probably either avoid me or keep meowing at me, my 7 year old would be the one who would want a bunch of attention, and then my 2 year old would mostly be indifferent.. lol
