I took it to the laundry in a big watching machine and put detergent with borax hot water and washed it twice then use a spray Dupli-Color Flat Vinyl & Fabric Spray Paint to give a firm color tone.

Great video, I bought a green 99 limited , and it's been a project. Still sorting it out but it's getting there. My hood was trash as well with a rust hole , Bought a used one same color in better condition. If I started a you tube channel people would have seen the journey so far .

Oxi-Clean and BioBrake Cleaner mixed and then agitated with a drill brush will help with those nasty seats and carpet. Then use your extractor to suck it up. Love the new project.

@gregskinner92104 ай бұрын
It's a great 4Runner, and job well done! PLEASE replace the radiator and the lower ball joints, at least. Automatic Transmissions are ridiculously expensive and the ball joints fail expensively, sometimes taking out your fenders, not to mention being a safety hazard for everyone on the road with you. Both of these are relatively inexpensive things to do.

Thaz an 89 because 89 was the first year for the headlight bezels, grille, bodyside molding trim, & emblems with those designs. Also since that car was produced on November of 88, that makes it an 89 because the new year models are produced a few months early.

Came out nice. I did the sport hood swap on my 98, changes the whole look. I think I'd probably paint the rear bumper and the chrome around the grille that color you did the front bumper to match if anything.

They make replacement leather or vinyl OEM covers with perfect matching colors. These are simply not just covers. You need the horseshoe tool and rings to attach to the seat frame and foam. A little bit of work but looks OEM and it's not that expensive. There are tons of video of how to do it. I did it on mine and it turn out great. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lZ1ppK91nsuzdIE.html

You’ve given me a ton of motivation to push forward on my 1999 4Runner Limited restoration project. Last week I spent well over $500 in it n’ hopefully I get it running this week. You should totally paint the rear bumper and the rims the same color as the trim and hopefully a set of front seats come up for ya! (Hopefully you also find a set of trim for the front bumper)
