Sen literally acknowledged that they didnt play well in split 1. Kaplan and johnqt tweeted about it and the rest of the team has spoken about it on interviews that they are not playing together and stuff. Calling the format bad which almost every pro is saying, isnt an excuse.

That's a narrow way to look at things, they compliment the other teams because they recognize the effort they put in to beat them, it's sportsmanship. The title is making people misunderstand. They arent blaming the format for not making playoffs, they are just saying its one of the many factors. Almost every pro has called this format shit as well. So maybe the format really is shit. But they do admit that they didnt play well either.

let me give example on the APAC side. T1 with score 2-4 qualified to play off meanwhile RRQ on the group Omega have score 3-2 and they are not qualified, WTH is this.

@@zakral1 Well T1 beats GEN.G 2 days ago. So I think the format is still lax for lower ranked teams by giving them hope for playoffs. It's their fault for not getting top 3 in their group tbh.

All EMEA and Pacific teams who went to Madrid are playing in the playoffs. Only SEN failed to qual. SEN fell off dude. PRX and GEN G are also confirmed for Shanghai again.

@@jeremyhermanto5942 its the way they qualed, drx went 5-0 during the groups and lost 2 matches in playoffs, T1 went 2-4 in groups they qual for playoffs, rrq went 3-2 they dont qual, its kind of a weird, you can argue if the brackets were different the scores would be different, something like this would not happen in a swiss format in emea all the teams in alpha bracket were 3-3(all of them were on similiar levels) and they qualed on the basis of map/round differentials(all of the alpha bracket, all of them) which again would not happen in a better format also because of the 11 teams alpha bracket played 6 matches while omega played 5 matches

They pretty much already qualled thru points it’s just feels bad when a team goes from world champs to losers in one split. One possible problem is that loud and eg have insanely good coaching staffs and they have way too much footage on them. I believe they will bounce back in peak form when champs rolls around
