@TheSweetCyclists6 күн бұрын
Yes, this was all done with the narrow stock wheels. The Triban wheels are very difficult to work with, so it takes some patience to get the tires to fully seat. I'd highly recommend swapping out the wheels to something lighter and easier to work with.

How do the fluxer and falconer compare as far as ventilation? Using a falconer currently and I’m Curious if the fluxer would be a ventilation upgrade for super hot days?
@TheSweetCyclists6 күн бұрын
I would say the Fluxer has better ventilation as the Falconer is more of an aero road helmet. If you're really looking for something cooler you might want to consider the Lazer Z1 KinetiCore which is lot more open than both helmets.

Can I use the same tube that came with it for all these tires?
@TheSweetCyclists8 күн бұрын
I did in this video, but for the really wide 700x40 tires or wider you'll want a tube that is rated to fill that large of a tire. The allowable tire size range is usually printed on the inner tube - you don't want to push it too far beyond that range.

That adjustable nose bridge doesn’t work for me. It gets loose with a light touch on the sunglasses while riding. Immediately becomes an unsecure fit. Is there a way to workaround this problem?
@TheSweetCyclists8 күн бұрын
What do you mean by "gets loose"? Are the rubber pads falling off the hooks or does the entire piece move between the two positions with a light touch? If the rubber pad itself is falling off, you should make sure it's fully inserted into the hooks on top and bottom. On some of my old Oakley's the rubber has split from stretching it too far, so it's possible your pad might have a crack in it (try the other pad that is included or buy a replacement from KOO if so).
@Alimuratakin8 күн бұрын
@@TheSweetCyclists my preferred use is with rubber bands in narrow position. However whenever I touch or lightly press the glasses into my face, nose piece clicks and gets wider. Sometimes only one piece and other times both. As a result of that, glasses either sits in my face in a crooked angle or in a loose position due to improper contact point with my nose.

@TheSweetCyclists8 күн бұрын
Like most GPS computers, this one is glossy which does reflect things around you. It isn't that distracting though. The BSC200 is backlit that I believe is based on local time and not a ambient light sensor like higher-end computers.

Hi. Question. Are the caps between the plastic and the steel version of the Podium interchangeable?
@TheSweetCyclists11 күн бұрын
Yes, I believe the thread is the same between them. You do not want to use the standard cap on the metal bottles though - they don't have the venting needed for metal bottles and require pressure to open. You could potentially use these vented caps on a standard bottle, but I don't think you'd gain anything.

How did you get those tires to seal. I ve never ever had tires which were leaking so much air that I could not even build pressure with a booster on it. It feels like the tires are just 27.5 instead of 28 as the tires don't fit at all.
@TheSweetCyclists11 күн бұрын
The standard Triban tires are very difficult to get to properly seal. You need to soap up the side walls and really work the sidewalls to get a good seal. It eventually worked for me, but after a flat I went back to a tubed setup.

You will need some sort of handlebar mount (an out-front mount or just a standard Garmin style handlebar mount). RAVEMEN does not include one out of the box. There are lots of cheap options on Amazon - just search for "Garmin handlebar mount" but I'd recomment KOM Cycling's out-front mounts - komcycling.com/collections/garmin-bike-mounts-1

How are the straps since they removed the ability to adjust them? I read a lot of complaints in reviews about the lack of adjustable straps.
@TheSweetCyclists11 күн бұрын
Non-adjustable straps are common on lighter weight helmets - you can only move them side-to-side. For me, they work fine but depending on your head shape it might not work. If you can try the helmet on in person or buy it from somewhere with a refund policy you should be able to test it for yourself.

I'm 6'1" with a 32 inseam and wouldn't recommend the 56cm version if you have similar or longer length legs. The bike uses the seat mast design which isn't nearly as long as standard bikes. CYCPLUS does offer bundles with some of their GPS computers. There are some combo cadence / speed sensor (magnet on crank / rear wheel and single receiver) that are convenient for getting both data points together.

Does the speed sensor measure distance indoors used with a bike trainer also or only outdoors?
@TheSweetCyclists15 күн бұрын
The speed sensor measures wheel rotation, so it will show speed / distance indoors or outdoors as long as the wheel is rotating. You can get a dual cadence / speed sensors for the rear wheel (with a magnet on the crank arm) that can give you speed and cadence.
