I feel like Emily Henry books are good but it's sooo... realistic. Like it's not romancey at all, imo 😅 I love how real the characters are but if I'm trying to look for a book with ROMANCE, EH isn't it for me. Her story is close to being literary lol. NGL I'm more on smuttok than booktok I guess 😂😭and I swear, almost ALL of them are like 90% in dumping this book... in the trash. Dead I said that in one of the review of a booktok smut book 🥴Just because it was so bad. I totally agree about booktube being personality based - I love to watch booktubers that read different genres than I usually do because sometimes I will try new genres and find that I really like something new! Booktube is such a friendly community and especially the smaller channels it's like a special little group of bookish friends. I love it here lol

I think I might start a booktube channel or general blog/vlog, I started an art blog a few months back but then I deleted it but I might make a new one. Also! Have you read Babel by R.F. Kuang? If you haven't I'd highly recommend if you enjoy arcane, historical, and/or systematic racism. It's set in 1830's England in the view of an East Asian student in Oxford, the novel also has very light fantasy notes. If that caters to your taste you should def read it! Alright, I'm going to continue stalking your channel :]

yesss! I agree that anything will work to film. MOST phone cameras nowadays are 🔥 to just get started! Definitely don't need a lot of heavy investment to start the channel. If you're looking at stuff on Amazon, 90% of it is at half the price (if not more) on aliexpress. And it's so good imo because it doesn't pick up louder noises, especially if you put it closer to your mouth like you are here! The only struggle is sometimes the clip they give you clip kinda wonky. I just clipped it off and added magnets 😂 Also you make me feel so much better about my word vomit in a lot of your vids lol I know I write a lot sometimes, and I always worry that it makes the ytbers feel awkward or required to reply 😅

Girl all the books to be read 😂 Not going to lie, these videos are my favorite to try to play I spy on books that I have read and books on my TBR. Fair warning on The Cruel prince is that it's soooo slow in the beginning. I almost DNF'd it multiple times because of how slow and draggy it felt but when the plot hit the fan, it was so good. I highly recommend only reading it when you're in the mood for a slow fantasy progression book. Can't recommend Happy Place & Love Theoretically enough though!! Those are both easy quick reads for me. Three read books == 1 you can buy is such a smart thing! I might do that too lol (starting early before my TBR stack grows more out of hand)

Just a heads up, Goodwill will almost never have new/popular books. They scan all of them and send them to a corporate warehouse to be sold on the website at an inflated cost. I worked in the company for like 6 years.
