Does this mean 1980, 1981 and 1982 are going to be 200 songs long eventually? Woohoo if yes!

1981 no as it is too disputed even with barb figures there is still no official decision on Soft Cell and Human League so I have decided to let it be. and leave the current upload as it is. 1980 and 1982 i will decide in the future whether to redo them after the 70s are finished and 92 and 93 are redone. Even 1977 is disputed as BARB did not do a week 51 weekly chart at Christmas and so the sales for that week are missing.

Watched from start to finish, a brilliant year, I was 16 and started working that year. Six weeks at soldering school with the radio on in the background, then on to the shop floor. A lot of these records brought a smile to my face. It must take you ages to compile these videos so I want you to know it’s very much appreciated. All the very best to you and yours.

Thank you very much it takes about a month to get from start to finish (depending on my motivation), I was very lucky with this year as so far no songs got blocked and I didn't need to do much tinkering apart from the odd typo or sound issue.

Please note their is currently no updated data for pre 1976 so please do not ask for 1970 -1975 Top 200, if it becomes available I will make Top 200 for them. 1977, 1978 and 1979 will be uploaded in next few months. Also please note that some of these the songs in this chart are re-releases or re-entries of 1960s songs but were all hits in 1976. If you dispute this please check the official charts pages before querying a song. Thanks

I think a good split between bubblegum, mushy, corny rubbish and some absolute classics during this year that thankfully saved the day for the British music industry.
