this is what these power companies do when customers complain about billing repeatedly. They power company will actually will send out a tech and they'll install wires on it or break the meter box then say the customer did it and charge them 3 to 6 times the normal bill bc they know there's NOTHING you can do about it. I've watched these techs do this so many times in so many states, laughing and sometimes even uploading pics of them doing it to their social medias. This is happening to me and i even had to go to my bank and tell them to stop the merchant charges and currently 4 months after cancelling and a month after going to my bank directly i see another pending monthly fee... I'm not sure how trufit has avoided a class action lawsuit for fraudulent business practices. As a side note, while i was talking to the workers in trufit about how ridiculous they treat people closing accounts, he straight up told me that the people who sell memberships will blatantly lie to you he told me to always watch what they do on the screen or they will scam you by upgrading you to an account without asking or telling you, even if you ask specifically for a lower tier membership.
