You’d think the glimmer twins would give Taylor more than 60 seconds to solo? But noooooooo….he might get too much attention.

The electric guitars are all Ronnie. He writes about this session in his autobiography. Great stuff. Thanks for posting.

Would loved to have been a fly on the wall at Wood’s house back then. A lot of great music went down there. And God only knows what else.

Mick Taylor is no doubt a brilliant guitarist, and he was musically a good fit for the Stones. But he was the quiet type and not such good fit there. In the end he quit to save himself.

This elegiac song is actually cynical/ironic. The dude is a player, getting over on multiple women while trying to secure the best opportunity for humself at court a few hundred year ago. Anti-romantic.

I bet Ronnie regrets giving that song away to Mick & Keith. That lost him a lot of money in the royalties. Mr Richard must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Just got these tracks on vinyl on the “Keith Richard and his Rolling Stones” boot. Aptly named if you ask me, MT is the cherry on top but Keith runs things here

Such a shame Mick left Drugs affecting him and the others, seemed to be the problem for his depression and frustration inability to resolve creative differences maybe?

I’ve always thought it was kinda funny how Mick and Keef replaced the least Rolling Stones-looking guitarist (Mick Taylor) with the most Rolling Stones-looking guitarist (Ronnie Wood). Not even Jeff Beck could have matched Ronnie for sheer, hand-in-glove Stonesian perfection.

WOW, I cherished that first Taj Mahal album when my oldest sisters university roommate gave it to me for my 13th birthday. All these decades later I still come back to this and other albums I had grown up with! Mick and the boys did a good job. Great to see my Man playing with them! I especially loved cruising to this song! Thanks for uploading this. I've subscribed and will look forward to more from you! 🚘❤💃🏻🎶🎉
