The worst part is I’ve always read Rysand as “Rye-sand”, and Rhys and “Rizz”. I’ve read it twice. I keep trying to coach my brain into her meant pronunciation and I am STRUGGLING

For real! I had JUST started the series and was making myself crazy trying to figure out pronunciations so I watched this video. I knew 3 chapters in that a major character was going to die! I didn't get to feel the feels... It kinda sucked.

@@ashlynrose9390 If it makes you feel any better, my sister (who has read the series) said that this character is only in Assassins Blade (the prequel book), so if you start with the actual first book, it’s common knowledge that he is already dead. So unless you started with AB it’s not too terrible of a spoiler, but if you did start with AB I’m so sorry 🥲

I’ve always pronounced it not Reese-sand like beach sand, but Reese-end, it flows in the way that Rowland wouldn’t be row-LAND, but row-lend. I can’t let go that it’s Reese SAND
