The Revell U-99 is actually a Type VII-B not a VII-C which was U-96 and depicted in Das Boot. Just a bit of trivia.

Yeah, I had one too! I’ve seen a lot of restorations done on these where people have painted them white.

They did it with the Eagle Transporters too…but not the Eagle Freighter. Most of us (when we were kids) swapped them over so we had a all-white transporter 😁

141 views 🙄 OMG. I love your work, this is another top notch effort as well. I have all the cars in your videos (obviously not your fantastic custom creations) in 1/24 scale and some of the UFO vehicles, some JOE90, Captain Scarlet and Thunderbirds are on their way from Aussie to Auckland as we speak! I have recently purchased a 3D printer (great fun) and have today ordered an airbrush kit. I know exactly what I'll be doing for the next few months at least. Thanks for the inspiration David, keep up your great work. FAB!

David Eaves, you are a genius. Anyone can put together a model car kit. Your creations are Automobile Art. I am a collector and was looking to make some dioramas for my TV and movie cars, but you have taken it to a whole new level. Boy am I have some work ahead of me now! I note that almost every view of this video has created a new subscriber - add me too.

Nicely done! Do they make a model of "Diver 1?" Makes sense to have both together. Kinda the point.

Imai don’t make the diver section in scale with this. They do a complete Skydiver kit but it’s much smaller & pretty rare now (and expensive for what it is). There are bigger resin kits around if you search but, again, expensive. 3D printing is also an option that I’ve seen on some FB groups.

I had long time ago a Metal interceptor Model, i lost it, it was a pity. Super this kit, where i can get it? I love since my child Hood this UFO series, until now i like to watch it. Thanks alot for uploading. Best regards from Austria 🇦🇹

I bought it from a website called Monsters in Motion. They're based in the US. From what I'm told, it's a resin recast of an old Bandai plastic kit with a few modifications. The Bandai kit would be a lot easier to put together and they can still be found occasionally on eBay from sellers in Japan. They're not cheap though because they're quite rare now. If you do an eBay search for "UFO Interceptor" it will bring up any kits that are for sale, and also a lot of the old Dinky metal models and the better Product Enterprise metal models too :)

@@davideaves563 thankyou. Yes you are right, i Look already at e bay, there are alot of interceptor models, Metal and plastic for different prices, from 35 - 300 Euro, the cheaper one dont have missile anymore, but i know its possible to get it also at e bay. Best regards from Austria 🇦🇹 Michael

Haha! There was one episode where they sent a whole fleet of UFO's! They used a lot of stock footage and gave the impression that the interceptors must have returned to base & re-armed at least once. Suspend your disbelief ;)

Great model. At least it is also the right colour not like the metallic green one that Dinky did in the '70's. Mystery to me was that after firing the rocket they had no further armament available, sure they had no cannon as back up unless anyone knows different.

Bought a diecast version of the mobile about 10 years ago. My favourite vehicle from the series even more than the interceptor. Detail is great, manufactured by " Product Enterprises" if you can get hold of one.

I am familiar with the Product Enterprise stuff. I had one of their Space:1999 eagles years ago. Very nicely detailed display piece. I ended up selling it for twice what I paid for it! Probably worth even more now. Thing is though, I get more enjoyment out of building them than looking at them afterwards 😉
