I loved Tommy Conwell back then but found this performance on the amateurish side. I was embarrassed for him.

Nikki handed me his bass after his Bass Solo in Denver. He carved in it “ass fucker”. In this show he carved in the Bass “F You” If anyone has video of the Denver, Co concert in 97’ please let me know. That would be bad ass to have footage of him handing that bass to me

It seems all the cool rock festivals are outside the U.S. If I had the financial means, I'd tour around to see all kinds of great bands that don't get respect here.

Not sure how the guy playing the guitar got hired! He obviously got but not clean. VH and Steve Vai were not only amazing, but also played hella clean!

Dave’s voice was cooked by 1990 unfortunately. His solo career would have been huge.

In so many ways David Lee Roth, I’m not gonna say changed music history, but there was no one really like Van Halen when Van Halen burst it onto the scene. Of course you had your guitar grades Hendrix page Clapton I’m sure there’s more that I’m not naming, but nobody was like Eddie Van Halen the king, God of the guitar tone, but the band was unique. Nobody sounded like them their stage presents and 7879 was different than anything that a music fan had ever seen. Everybody bust on Dave about his vocal talents. True maybe he wasn’t the best singer but he was definitely the best front man, this is all opinion of course definitely not the best singer out there but he had a cool voice. His stage presence was unmatched. He was awesome with crowd participation just had a lot to offer. He did help write some stuff he can play guitar the first two minutes of ice cream man is all him, but anyway, they were the perfect Band at the right time at the right place and everybody complemented everybody. I saw them in 83 in Las Vegas and I can’t really remember who they opened up for maybe was before 83 not sure I think they opened up for Sabbath just goes to show you I remember Van Halen couldn’t tell you who headlinedhope everybody’s safe and happy
