NS 8098 is trailing on 288, 126 is ahead of it, 126 just passed morristown tn and 288 coming shortly behind, 126 does NOT have yard work to do, only crew change in Bristol

I live in West Central Indiana, and we have an NS line running right through our little town. They've been running the mid DPUs through here for quite some time now. I've seen them on general freight, grain trains, trailer trains, and pretty much any combination of these that you can imagine. I have noticed that the hook-ups have been growing in length for quite some time now. I recently saw a West bound roll through that was about 80 - 90% grain cars and with the rest being pretty much tankers. They all must have been loaded to their max weights because there were 3 power units leading the show and just a little over mid way back was 2 more that were throttled up and rolling coal just as hard as the first 3! With the cost of fuel and everything else these days, it is no surprise that they are moving more in each hookup. Love your channel!

Here in the Medford Oregon We have little Freight Train activity. And no passenger Trains. Many times in the past two years since becoming Retired. (now 64 Years old) The Freight Train Yard just a short walk from my house. I have Wished I could find Hobo Shoestring waiting to catch out. Never happened. I sure miss Him. Love You Mark. I know that place! I almost got hit by a train there a few years ago because the light at the intersection showed green, and as I was making my turn onto Roan Street, I was already almost on the tracks when the barriers started to come down. I was confused because there was no train coming from the east and when I looked behind me the train was only a block away from me! *No horn, no bell, no warning of any type.* Needless to say I gunned the car engine and got across the tracks lickety-split before the train could hit me. I was soooo angry that there was no warning at all from the train.

Good place to film with all of the crossings, two long blast,one short and two more longs is the procedure for crossings, nice mountainous back drop,nice to see the mid helper DPU!🛤🚂

@ChainsawNW1218 I love to hear them come through downtown Johnson City. I am approximately 3 miles from this location with some substantial terrain between, and I can hear the horn from my house. The mountain in the background is Buffalo Mountain.

Quite the haul for only two engines... That intermodal was packed to the gills with mostly double stacks and no bare tables.. Strange that there were three Auto Racks along for the ride.. Loved this location and shot as well.. Nice one !!
