Love the drone footage. Would love to see you open up those long rows. This is so different than when I loaded under a New Holland 1880! My husband packed silage for 53 years. Good job.

A very disappointing video for a research and educational body! the level of waste must be awful, mainly due to the tractor driver not keeping the spout aimed at the cart! Also if you are going to drive over it! why plant it! very disapointing

There was plenty of dust. I had to shift positions in the field so I could see to launch. :-)

I was wondering the same thing when flying the drone and all I could come up with is that it was pretty hot that day so maybe added cooling. Then again maybe someone forgot to close it :-)

Hi Jim, maybe you can answer a question. I see all these silage videos where they are using multiple tractors to compact the silage. Why doesn’t a farmer use a sheepsfoot roller? It’s would do a better job compacting, and a used one can be purchased under 40k and last a lifetime.
@JimBaltz9 ай бұрын
My guess is because they can use the tractors for other farm activities while a sheepsfoot roller would be for only one purpose. Also it might be a little hard on the concrete ;-)
@JayGrab9 ай бұрын
I know of one farmer that does. Its a lot of money for a unit that only does one thing and they can't push silage.

Hardest part of packing a drive over pile is keeping it in bonds as the more you drive over it the pile walks out more difficult without proper space on all sides, which I find rare on most dairies here

I quit eating that garbage along with sugar snd high starch lost 40 lbs. would never go back. Grain in the foundation of most processed food and the foundation of metabolic dysfunction, disease and obesity. Now after hearing this about roundup its no wonder its making people sick. Farmers are poisoning the public with that garbage.
