I just had this today because the story goes back more than a month ago when I first stopped to check from a store, I sprayed on a test strip and had it in my room, the smell stayed for as long as I had it. The smell is mesmerizing and occupied my room! The smell is like a wood with on top of it silky smooth sweetness that you can't help but admire the simplicity but yet elegant and classic for men!

Amouage Epic and Csrtier Pasha are two different scent profiles, your comparison is off, so for sure then is Oud Malaki also, I dislike Epic and like Pasha

This fragrance has nothing in common with Colonia and Eau Sauvage, all three of them are complete different scents, except they have lemon in it that is again different smelling in all of them. Colonia differs the most, it's almost artificial smelling candy citrus, a clone of more natural and nicer smelling Atkinsons Gold Medal. YSL PH Concentration is more similar to Kouros than to those two.

This is a very light smelling perfume with a soapy smell . Projects just for an hour and after that its low down very very much , i suggest save ur money

I am 39 years old and in 1990 I was only 6 years old my father had a perfume and I had smelled it in 1990 and I went crazy about it until today it has been 33 years exactly but this perfume I I only remembered the smell that marked my mind all my life a smell that stayed in my head and 33 years later I did everything to try all the perfumes in the world because I simply had as a memory the smell and a type of vials so i bought all kinds of old perfumes but nothing i had neither the brand nor the name and unfortunately neither found and i persisted until today i receive a 4ml bottle of balenciaga for men I smelled it and there I directly recognized the smell I had always been looking for it was the one I shed tears of joy relief excitement euphoria the smell was directly recognized by my olfactory memory I finally found I'm completely crazy but I succeeded

My bottle was long lasting. The original was awesome. I miss my explorer cologne. The first was manly.

They ruined Ralph Lauren Polo. I'm kinda pissed off about it. It has a powdery dry down on top of everything you mentioned.

Wonderwood is awesome, is all about smokey woods, is not fresh cut raw wood, is oil smokey woods.

just got mine in. I sprayed it, and as it dries down its getting better and better. its a cosmair version. its not harsh to my nose, which i appreciate. it has a nice smoothness and pleasantness to it. i need more time to spend with it, but as of now, i will say it is not loud. it sits rather close in terms of projection. definitely worth testing. it doesn't smell chemically or synthetic to my nose which is a deal breaker for me, who is in to vintage stuff. UPDATE: The drydown got better and better. Once it settled though, unfortunately it has a very smooth (and clever) base that comes off as chemical/synthetic to my nose. I say clever because it is smooth. I have to say that my nose is use to high quality vintage stock of Polo Green and Givenchy Gentleman, which to be fair are VERY hard to beat. After smelling those to this, I can't say I will wear this. This is one of those that I would collect if I wanted to do that. Right now I am buying drivers that I will daily drive. I think if you are already used to designer scents though and don't my the aromachemical prominent smells, this is a good one.

Cosmair Inc: Late 1985-1999 (common - went through five slight, but noticeable reformulations). L’Oréal/AUX: 2000-2005 (more common; with additional reformulation). Luxury Products LLC: 2006-Present (most common; with numerous additional reformulations, thus reducing this fragrance to a linear scent).

30 years ago, my wife and I discovered this fragrance. Loved it. Still do but pissed that it is not available - at least not easily.

The original fragrance was released as an after shave cream by floris in 1851(elite) , then ions later Carlos benaim/Ralph Lauren copied it , bottled it and released it as polo in 1978, taking all the credit. floris released their bottled elite in 1979/1980, floris literally developed the original which you can still buy today, its lovely xx

Parfums de Marly has REFORMULATED Herod. I own an older formulation which has an alcohol concentration of 78%. The new formulation I see in stores has 81% alcohol. My formulation is a dark orange / amber color. The new formulation is a very light, faint orange in color. The new formulation does not last as long and it smells different. Parfums de Marly fragrances are ALWAYS getting reformulated and become much weaker than their ORIGINAL releases. Parfums de Marly HAS NOT been transparent when it comes to the reformulation of their fragrances. Carlisle, Layton & Oajan have also been reformulated and have 3%-4% more alcohol in newer batches.

Good review. I started wearing this in 1980 in HS and still wear it today. I also wear a couple other scents which are more lemony for use during the summer as I live in Florida

The 1992 formulation was my all time fav’ scent. The later formulation is similar, but nowhere near the same strength or longevity.

When I opened my box new, it looked like some juice was missing even though the sprayer wasn’t primed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I guess this guy knows his fragrances, but I purchased a bottle of polo recently and I think it's awesome. The more it dries after you spray I can definitely smell the tobacco. I can smell it on my clothes up to two days or more with only two or three sprays. It definitely has a dominant piped tobacco smell when it dries.

Sooo good. Have a small bottle, half way used and a never used 4.2 bottle. Great even over 25 years old! They were put away and properly stored all that time. A true classic. I hardly wear it but when I do complements galore from guys and gals of all ages.
