Howdy! Thanks for posting all your videos. I just got a 610-311 and I am trying to figure out how it works works. Everything seemed fine a few days ago, but I disabled the chime and now things have been out of whack and I have not been able to set the chime again. Have you ever run into anything like that?

Mine winds in opposite directions. The left one winds in a clockwise direction and the right one winds in a counter-clockwise direction.

2:25 The rack's tooth is definitely raising high enough to clear the rack hook, but shoves the hook back on the way down causing the tooth (that it should have caught on) to slip. I wonder if there could be too much tension pressing the rack down, or not enough tension in the rack hook to resist that pressure.

This might sound silly, but when I see the mallets of the interior of a chiming clock, I tend to think of those mallets as a correspondence to human vocal cords!
