Hey Anthony, nice lot of vinyls! I grinned to myself when you said you already had one of the singles, but not with the picture sleeve...you're hooked!! That Let's Be Friends Pickwick LP might be something special. I've noticed on a few channels that some of the serious collectors are going for the budget LPs, and I'm sure the cover you showed is different from the one I have. And the Elvis Today LP with the original shrinkwrap and label is also a bit different. Love the American inner sleeves with the photos of all the albums.

Such a coincidence, I have bought almost all those vinyls in recent months! Once I swore I would never spend money on duplicating what I already had on vinyl or CD, but now like so many other fans I get sucked in by the iconic covers on LPs.❤

I remember this song,it was in the Elvis movie! Rock n roll isn't such a new thing,rock n roll started long ago! And Elvis Presley is here to stay! And I'll say that the waxtimes are Spanish grey market that usually sounded worse than an official ones,but they are legal to be sold in the US. If that were the case,those kinds of records are for music fans who cares about the music,not about the sound quality,I have an Elvis blue Hawaii on WAXTIME vinyl and it's not bad sounding,but I prefer the official vinyl from mobile Fidelity,but if you have a cheap turntable,then you're more better off with the grey market.

Hi Anthony, I have this magazine, and as you said, most of the photos we've seen before, but it is a good mag compared to some of the others coming out. As you said, there are so many out there. I thought your commentary was excellent, especially when you commented on the way things were back in the fifties and sixties, when going to the movies was a big day/night out that people looked forward to. Queuing up at theatres to get tickets for an Elvis movie was half the fun, talking to the other fans. Kids these days don't know what they are missing, just sitting in front of a computer or tv, pressing buttons on a remote control. You are so right, you have so much at your fingertips, you don't value things the same way as we did decades ago. And another valid point you made about Elvis' movies - they were just to entertain the viewer, feel-good, happy ending. We walked out of the theatres smiling, so happy to have seen Elvis on screen again. Three movies a year were eagerly awaited. Love what you said about Elvis' marriage to Priscilla, and the photos of her with Mike Stone - why wasn't that included in her movie??!! Well said!

Wow what a great find! Those old magazines especially the U.K. ones, are selling for up to $100 online. Thank you very much for the flip through, it is neat to see them after all these years. I really liked your commentary, especially when you mentioned Elvis's movies. You said they were corny (or words to that effect) but then you made the point that you had to be in that era to appreciate them. I was in my teens in the 1960s and all us Elvis fans at that time looked forward to every film that came out. They were no different to the beach party movies with Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello (google them if you haven't heard of them!) and we loved them. No violence, swearing, mind blowing special effects - just good clean fun that made us all happy. We always left the theatres feeling good. Elvis of course was at his prime with his looks, so beautiful to look at, and even if some of the songs were corny, his voice was still a delight to listen to.

One of the best Met games from this year, actually up there in top 10 of all time, surprised not mentioned in this video (he only showcased the bad games) Well it was June 14, 1980, the Mets were down 6-0 and no-hit for 6 innings by the Giants, when all.of a sudden they made an amazing comeback, highlighted by Steve "Hendu" Henderson's 3 run Homer in the bottom of the 9th (or 10th) to win it!

I find 'ELVIS " magazine in the local Publix every few months

Hi Anthony...Very nice. I picked that set up on the first day of release and your are correct that it was a very big deal at the time. That can be found now cheaper than when it first came out and that's not adjusting for inflation! It was worth every penny at the time to get so much unreleased music is one set. Previous to that release we would only get one or two unreleased tracks on an album, the exception being the Legendary Performer albums. Nice pick up.
