BUT, what do you say about starving seniors & their constant need now for help with food? A lot of them are having to choose either food or medicine or food or heat. How is this going to help them? If you shut down all the food banks, there are going to be a lot of people starving to death. Yes, it's a wonderful idea, but it won't feed everyone that is going without right now.

The story continues today, Louisbourg, the largest reconstruction of a historic site in a North America, ice free harbour with a condemned government wharf, no schools, no bank, no gas, barely grocery store, population in 1700s approached 15000, today less than 1000.

The sad part is that Alberta is the only province in Canada that funds private education! With no accountability framework! Taxpayers have no say where education dollars should go. May be Alberta government should conduct a poll to see how residents of Alberta want to allocate their tax dollars within provincial Education system?

“It’s called the American Dream- ‘Cause you have to be asleep to believe it”. The words of our ancestors brought to life. Doesn’t matter what you look like, in some way you got relatives that were brought here: be it by force, or for better life away from home. They worked hard for very little if anything. and died, a lot of dreams buried with them by the System. We have a chance for decades to better things; Let’s Take It!

dude. this was the ONE FUCKING THING in the ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD that i had that made me feel good NO MATTER WHAT. i could watch the video of that commercial, and feel like part of the world, connected to everything. no matter what was happening or how sad i was or what i just lost how broken i felt if i watched that, i could just close my eyes and see all the beautiful things i’ve ever seen in my life and instantly be reminded why i even bother. and YALL COULDNT LET ME JUST HAVE THAT. you had to turn that into something ugly. i can’t even tell you how fucking upset i am. it probably seems disproportionate but i seriously have fucking CLUNG TO the “boom de yada” commercial for so long to get me by in so many hard times and you just made it so that i can never use it to get thru anything hard ever again cause now all i’m gonna see is a bunch of sarcastic homeless people making jabs at the government!!! you BROKE MY FUCKING HEART TODAY!!! i had so much potential if i could just continue forcing myself thru for another four years i finally found something im good at that nobody else wants to do im holding freaking widows i know their binomial names all i needed was for you to let me have that commercial for a few more years till i could get a degree and i could have changed the world and made it better for everybody.. INCLUDING THE PEOPLE IN THIS VIDEO!!!

Hear recently of the Toronto well known gunsmith shot to death by the Toronto police just recently?? The family is trying to seek justice & so far the police are stonewalling the family!! Looking into this case nothing makes sense on why he was shot in his own shop working on guns!! The cops accuse him of filing serial numbers off of guns & according to family, this gunsmith never did anything illegal!! His first name was Roger & his last name starts with a K if I remember right & was about 70 years old!!

This is 100% true. Blackrock and Vanguard hold 8 trillion in assets and they own everything. This is exactly who Carlin is talking about. We are all nothing and nobodies except obedient workers. None of us are in the club. All of us - we are captivated by bullshit while they control everything and rake in the cash while we argue.

Right wingers see this and think he’s talking about evil leftists, left wingers see this and think he’s talking about radical conservatives. He’s not talking about either. Those dichotomies are meant to distract. You can’t hate the masters when they’ve got you fighting amongst the slaves. The establishment power elite are not left or right. They are simply money and power hungry. This is capitalism run amok. So please, stop falling for the left/right culture war bullshit. It’s meaningless pablum designed to deflect from the true enemies - big corporations, banks, the 1%.

How things have changed & not for the better. Back in the 70's, I could get an apartment for $200 a month. The same apartment today would run me $2,000 a month, with a lot of maintenance issues. You can buy a hamburger, fries & drink for under a dollar back then. The same meal today is more like $10. I made more money back then than I do now. Never received any government assistance or help from friends or family members & worked all my life, including having 2 jobs just to make ends meet. Lucky for me, I'm still healthy at 67 & able to still work.

I think those times in Canada were the values of rich peoples' lackeys. Let me explain: it was not necessarily about embracing the wealthy's values but more-so about embracing their lackey's values: cravenness, callouses, nationalism, competition, hierarchy, class and rank, etc, etc. See, the lackey values serve those rich but because they are adorned more prosaically, they are deemed less reflective of the true culprits and their inequitable values.
