I literally went out to the scrum guide just now to check for an update, based on this thumbnail, guys! HAHAHA Great chat :) As a scrum master, I like the word manager from an 'accountablility' perspective, but HATE it at the same time because of the 'control' aspect, like was mentioned!!

may seem a little over the top, but Ive seen this happening plenty of times. The video hits home the utter cringe of a bad Product Owner - on par with David Brent's management style. Great video

Teaching new tricks to old horses never easy. Legacy companies are born beauacratic. Their definition of success is very different from digital-native-companies. At end of day, agile way of working is more like a common sense. Anyone showing resistance is like saying no to oxygen for breathing. As he rightly mentioned, if you put 'reno' leadership to 'tesla', the tesla will fail. It's all about the people at top and how they define success.

Even though Mart Cagan calls out the type of work my program and team performs is part of the "Rest", I find the Silicon Valley Product Group books and talks are extremely valuable in instilling a sense of empowerment in my teams and my clients. When my teams comes thru a tough challenge due, and say to each other "Wow! That was a blast! What's next?", it remarks that there are always opportunities to improve, and no, we don't all work for the Marty's "Best" category.

Super glad this video was recommended. Great conversation and completely agree with the personal bias you’ve guys been experiencing. Would be awesome if guys could interview random POs/PMs to see the different worlds/expectations.

systems produce what they were designed to produce. to change culture or structure you first have to change, in large scale orgs, you have to change the system. the first step in changing a system is to create predictability so that the people pushing the vision and ideas can learn to trust their system. predictability creates the trust, which increases agency - i.e. the leeway to create change. structure = how teams work together, governance = how decisions are made in the org.

Is there anyone in the world more clear about product than Marty? The guy can explain complex concepts in a way a 10 year old could understand but yet most leaders can't grasp it.

I'm left with one question - did Tesla steal the autobots idea from Joe or vice versa? Either way, I'm also left with much more conviction in TSLA. GREAT INTERVIEW.

I saw the full podcast (?). About an hour twenty long. It was absolutely riviting throughout. With the Agile theme throughout, Joe changed gears so many times, it was like the fastest drag race ever. Great views and insights from all three of these leaders.

Does seems strange for building. For Giga Texas, for sure they have a plan of where things go that is not changing every 3h, that would be incredibly wastfull, you wouldn't have any progress.

You have to wonder how all the other players in the EV world are so far behind if they can use most of the patents, and take apart the various models and hire former Tesla employees. What more do they need?

Wow amazing information! Thank you guys!! Wow I hope a lot of people get to watch this video! I’m currently in the process of finding a meaningful way to apply for Tesla so I can help all the members regarding Health/readiness from my P-Training/nutrition/Neuromuscular Therapy background way to make sure productivity stays at 100%, and doesn’t drop because of fatigue or body aches, stress, and such, and I got a lot of good points to what Tesla is looking for when hiring, valuable stuff thank you again!
