O futebol "raiz" que na verdade era o futebol da elite, onde os jogadores não ganhavam nada por estarem ali, mas o dono do clube ganhava e cima das bilheterias. Aqueles que quiseram manter o futebol como um esporte de elite foram esquecidos, como é o caso do Sheffield FC na Inglaterra ou o Paulistano no Brasil e os que aceitaram que o esporte pertencia ao povo, a qualquer um que quisesse desfrutar daquilo, estão ai até hoje.
