Destiny was actually a second gen gundam fitted with third gen technology (the wings). I guess since it's kinda upgraded in movie, it count as third gen now.

This is why Shinn is the GOAT. No need for a new OP insta kill weapons pack, no outside assist. Just a new handheld weapon, muscle memory and killer instinct. He made full use of the Destiny despite some of the existing weapons don't work on the enemy and capitalize on what works. Beam rifle doesn't work, carry a spare handheld railgun, don't need 3, just one. Run out of ammo, just close in the gap and go full melee. Oh using mind reading trickery, just use afterimage trickery to even the odds. Might as well not think and rely on muscle memory and highspeed maneuvering to go with it.

シンが乗ってる時はトリッキーというか機体性能以上の定形外の動きでルナマリアが乗ってる時は堅実な教科書通りの動きって感じで違いが出てるの良いな。

Man seeing the Freedom take down the Destroy Gundam like that reminds me of the Biblical story of David vs. Goliath where a boy fell a giant now isn't that considered ironic as the Destroy Gundam is a monster of a mobile suit and the very first one was taken down by a boy who was once just a student at a technical college who went on to become the Cosmic Era's greatest hero.

we were robbed of the original plotline where Kira and Athrun didn't take center stage and the whole show becomes Shinn as the protagonist and Rey as the antagonist and we could've gotten a final showdown with Shinn piloting Destiny (melee) fighting against Rey (ranged), fighting against Legend. A complete 180 on what we got with SEED where Kira (ranged) fights Athrun (melee).

Somehow, there was a Gundam hiding in that Z'Gok.

Man at first I hated Shinn Asuka when we were first introduced to thus little jerk in Seed Destiny becuase all he cared about was revenge for what happened ro his family and wanted to destroy Orb but now I like him as he changed in Seed Freedom as he is now fighting for what he believes in and is now fighting alongside people he once hated and now sees them as comrades and friends and being back in the pilots seat of the ZGMFX-42S Destiny Gundam.
