Unless you think there are 2 stars and everyone else happens to be moocher, you should be able to use statistics to identify dopers. Assuming everyone has access to the same improvements the difference of the 2 and the average of the next 10 or 20 riders should be statistically similar.

Why should these modern day guys receive preferential treatment just because they're friendly? That Time Trial was beautiful to watch but also suspicious indeed, since its logically much harder for a rider to temper and pace his unusual power in a time trial on his own than when surrounded by a a peleton
