Amanda has a consistently manic energy that makes it hard to believe so many people believed her for so long. The real Elizabeth was a master at making herself seem credible with confident energy. Amanda comes off as desperate

There were a few differences that should've been modified. Amanda didn't look 19, had a stern face, and furrowed her brows too often. Elizabeth Holmes is still very fresh faced, her expressions remained soft, and she often had a big smile. The voice could've been deepened but wasn't.

Holmes doesn't move her body much while she talks, while Seyfried does that ALL the time. She's speaking through her every muscle. I think Holmes' behaviour seemed more controlled, while Seyfried's actually seems like a crazy person trying to hide something.

I think they should have used a voice modulator for Amanda. Because that fake voice is SO CREEPY.

I get Amanda doesn't exactly imitate Holmes especially the latter's voice is considerably deeper, but the essence of Holmes is there in Amanda's performance. It felt like a glimpse of how really pathetic Holmes is IRL and Amanda does a great job emulating her

Same. I love Amanda- long time fan and probably still will be after this, but i don’t see the similarities. I’m genuinely confused on how they think it’s a good impression. Great actress regardless though

I like seyfried's overall performance, but people who claim that she "nailed the voice" need to get their ears checked. it's a big weakness of her performance. she fails to get low enough, and she's imparting some pretty heavy speech peculiarities that she has herself that holmes doesn't, including vocal fry and a lot of slurring/mumbling. she really just pushed her voice down, not far enough, and failed to adapt in any other way.

Amanda really brought this woman's psychopathy to the screen. I would imagine in her moments of true frustration, Elizabeth's reactions were as menacing as Amanda's . 😂 Brilliant.

LIz was a better actor than Amanda. Liz even admits she was playing a part in today's times article. Amanda is "fine" but its like watching dana carvey do one of his characters. Elizabeth actually created that character she was playing and did it every day all day long.

Amanda plays Elizabeth like she’s nervous and knows deep down that what she’s doing is wrong. Her voice is shaky sometimes like she’s afraid of being found out. Elizabeth sounds calm and confident like she’s fully convinced that she’s in the right. Like she’s lying to herself

She got the mannerisms down, but I don't think she looks like her (at all) and Elizabeth's voice is much lower.

I don’t see her as a sociopath but if true then most tech Giants are the same as her. I could say the only difference is she failed but it looks like most tech giants fail upwards, but they also have a product where she was faking it. The real question was she really trying to make it or was she lying the entire time? I don’t think so.
