Im 3d artist and always render game assets on simple turn tables since my 2d skills are.... at least questionable. Im working on an anime character and im trying to integrate it on a 2d background but man is hard. Nothing seems to work it looks bad not matter what effect i use i cant kill that 3d look. The most close i got was using blur A LOT OF BLUR and some hue/levels to balance the scene but it doesnt feel organic. Im gonna try with some tips i saw in this video. Thanks a lot.

How long did it take you to create the big cloud in the background? I followed the tutorial, but I just can't manage to make a cloud. In the end, I get black graphical errors when I try to render it as an image.
@Mclelun20 күн бұрын
what GPU are you using? I assume the error could be due to graphic card issue

Wait you are doing it manually?! I was sure you are just gonna use 3d layer since it does parallax movement for you and you don't have to animate each layer but good job!
@MclelunАй бұрын
Yes, you can use 3d to arrange the layers in 3d space

So cool! I like your animation! Do you have any tutorial about lens flare in After Effects? :)
@MclelunАй бұрын
Not yet, maybe in the future. I am just using a lens flare image. But I remember seeing a screenshot Makoto Shinkai is using the optical flare plugin from videocopilot
@jefflau146Ай бұрын
@@Mclelun Yeah I really want to learn how to create Makoto Shinkai style animation in Photoshop then After Effects. Your PS skills are really good and I hope to learn AE animation skills as well. Looking forward!! :D

I watched a video on how to draw clouds for the first time about 8 years ago, after finding it through some strange website. Since then, I graduated from university, got married, and found a job as a 2D animator. I've been watching your channel ever since and I see that you're still releasing great tutorials. Thank you!
