Dubois lost to Joe Joyce as well. He broke his eye socket in 3 places. But he looked decent against Usyk in a controversial loss by KO
@Triplemboxing15 күн бұрын
You right. We’ll see if he can pull of the W this weekend.
@beninnes86699 күн бұрын
The standing 8 count in this fight, in my opinion was right, it could have been called a knockdown earlier or if the ref let it go on a knockout potentially. Lets not forget Wilder V Fury 1, if it wasn't a championship fight, with probably the best referee in boxing history, the fight would've ended as a Wilder KO against Fury, and, we would never have had the trilogy, Fury would not have been in contention for the unified heavyweight titles, lost his, in his own opinion, the only important title, that being the legitimate, lineal heavyweight champion, which is now Usyk

You didnt think it was a close fight?
@benmapstone381811 күн бұрын
Fury sat on the outside trying to pick at Usyk the entire fight. When you look at the stats (punches landed, big punches, ring dominance etc.) you can clearly see Usyk absolutely outboxed him. I would give a couple of the mid rounds to fury and some of the last rounds were close. But apart from that there’s no way Usyk didn’t win every round. Particularly because of how much of the centre of the ring he had.
@Triplemboxing111 күн бұрын
Fury had Usyk lookin lost in the middle rounds. It was looking like Fury was going to cruise to a victory until that overhand landed. Changed the whole fight for both. Great fight nonetheless. Rematch would be better imo
@benmapstone381811 күн бұрын
@@Triplemboxing1 maybe for like 3 of the rounds at most, it definitely wasn’t as overwhelming as you’re making it out to be in the middle. Usyk didnt really drop a round in the last 3rd of the fight

Tim has to be ready for Crawford who can fight orthodox or south paw. So, I think the only issue is Fundoras height and reach.

All i can say is Tim will have a much harder battle against the towering inferno! He is a freak of nature and so hard to reach. His only loss was a lucky shot by a guy who was getting trounced. This is a good time to make money. Tszyu should have never taken this one.

10000% agree. Harder fight for Tim for sure. Not to mention the 12 days change of opponent. Going from a 5’9 welterweight orthodox that loves to move around to a 6’7 towering lefty that loves to stay in the pocket. Big ups to Tim for taking the fight regardless 💯💯

How did you guys take a newbie over a two time unified champ and Olympic champ. I ride with Ngannou any day but AJ was massively disrespected as he’s been his entire career. So anything short of such devastation will not earn AJ credit from the same critics. So sorry Ngannou had to be the one at the receiving end.

Perfect record is not really important in a boxers' legacy. But it is a big deal and had a big impact. If Rocky Marciano didn't retired undefeated, his argument as one of the All Time Greats wouldn't be as strong as it is now. If Ricardo Lopez did not retire undefeated, his case as one of the greatest Mexican boxer of all time will not be as strong as it is now. If Naseem Hamed retired undefeated and didn't lose to Barrera, he would have a case to be as a Top 10 or even Top 5 All Time Featherweight Greats. If Mike Tyson didn't lose, he would have been an easy Top 5 All Time Heavyweight Greats. Boxing people tends to think that world level undefeated boxers are undefeated because they faced weak competition which are not basically true. So when they lose it hurts their legacy bad: Larry Holmes, Naseem Hamed, Michael Spinks and so on. Staying undefeated is not necessary for Mayweather and Marciano but their legacy would be look different if they lose even once.
