I couldn't have the heart to leave him. I know what feeling alone is like and it is a painful and dark place. All he needed was a friend. All he needed was to feel love and appreciation.

Beautiful acting and brilliant music. This compilation is a wonderful representation of the film and carries the most important scenes, which are jewels in its own right. Well done!

*Don't be fooled by this romantic portrayal of Van Gogh:* 🙄 *"For human intimacy, he regularly visited prostitutes. On 8 October 1888, he wrote in a letter to Theo that he’d been without company for a while: ‘Because for at least 3 weeks I haven’t had enough to go and have a screw for 3 francs’."* *Source: Van Gogh Museum*

I wonder why they didn't say "ginger" (which I think is the common term for red hair in places like England and Scotland) instead.

I so wish I did have a time machine to go back and bring Vincent to today’s times and let him see how much loved and appreciated he is today yet I think it would be too much for him and he’d be in tears I’d love to do that and if he cried I’d give him a hug he needed a hug

Complete agreement. Everybody needs a friend (whether they're willing to admit it or not). The friend need not be another human being. The friend could be a pet, a book, a houseplant, or whatever. In fiction, a friend could even be a face painted on a volleyball and named Wilson (as in the movie "Castaway").@@anneshields2010

That was so beautiful!! I absolutely adore Austen's work also and she is one of the biggest inspirations for me in Literature besides the Bronte sisters. This is so amazing I almost cried. Such emotional scenes you could feel they cared for each other
