I was 13 when this game happened and I hid in my room from my dad until like Wednesday after metcalf returned that punt. If you grew up with a dad that addressed you and your siblings as yinz guys no explanation is needed

One of the most memorable punt returns ever because it had a little bit of everything, from Metcalf shifting and making his moves, to the fans, being late in the game, down, the Cle-Pit rivalry, Eric taking home 2 that day with the last being the game winner. Yeah, to me, from a kid to now I always remembered this game. NFL Primetime saved this game for last that night…good ole memories..

Great...he got that shiftiness from his father Terry. See St Louis Cards of the 70s. Both amazing to watch.

Look at the difference in celebration with these players compared to the spoiled and entitled brats today. These players celebrate but knew it does not matter if you have the rest of the game to win. Today, these players make one tackle and they think they saved the game. The attitude is disgusting today. They all think they are God. They don't play as a team. But the worst is when they do something good, and they celebrate like they are mad they did something good. They shout, run away from their team so they can have the camera on them only, have that stupid mad look on their face, and yet they are down by 3 touchdowns in the fourth quarter with 1 minute left in the game.

From 2:39 - 3:55, Hammond and Collinsworth didn't utter a word, letting the cheering and celebrating do the talking. The mark of great announcing.

James Jones may have set the NFL record for most players blocked out of the way on the second punt return. Bill Belichick drafted Jones when he went to scout Nick Bell at Iowa and quickly decided that Bell was not a player he wanted. Jones was up the road at Northern Iowa, and Belichick liked what he saw.

I was at this game. Junior in college at Slippery Rock. Paid $30 for a ticket and a charter bus ride to the game. I swear this to be true....waiting to get into the stadium at 12:45 p.m........Eric Metcalf walked right by the ticket lines and into the stadium.......15 minutes before kickoff..........he was literally 10 feet away from me. Then he runs back 2 punt returns. I couldn't believe he showed up that late for a game, regardless of him returning 2 punts for TD.

I told my friend. On the day this game was played. Metcalf is special. I said. He's the best return man going. They better not kick it to him. So after the frist touchdown. I told my friend. He will do it again. If they kick it to him. Again. And sure enough. Metcalf did. Oh how I loved seeing him. Crush the damn Steelers. One of my favorite players. Of all time.
