How in the hell did you get that locking slide back in there? I’m working on mine & no way am I able to simply get it started in there with only my hands. It will not go in without persuasion from a hammer but I cannot get a good strike on it as that spring is in the way & absorbs the impact. Using a punch to get around it isn’t working as the hits now are not square & I would need 4 hands to hold everything together while I hammer it. What the hell man?

I’ve done tons of brakes but never on this type of caliper and yours was the best video by far in showing how it’s removed thank you so much for your time!

does anyone know what the clips are for when you get a new locking pin and you get new clips for the brake pads too he didnt use any locking clips on the pads going into the caliper gm has them on their pads but i didnt see any in this video or on my 1984 f 150

Anti rattle/vibration clip 👍 on the inner pad, im surprised that no one picks up on the brake knock 🤷‍♂️ in the front end 😂 Also different suppliers give you certain kits, parts $$$😡 have to ask $$ if they supply them 🤦‍♂️

Thanks for the video! I've owned Ford's all my life and just now at age 56 do I encounter this style of caliper. Hence I'm here, and you did a production that relieved that itch on my head so I'm no longer scratching it 🙂 Thanks a bunch.

I have a '78 F150 and it has the same system; just the shim is a little different. I think it's probably the same from 78-86 (at least) on trucks/Broncos with a D44.
