I actually did student nursing rotations at that place in 1999/2000. Of course, back then, it was a functioning, tiny, rural hospital. Eventually, half became like a nursing home. Then, it finally closed completely a few years back. It was in severe disrepair and no money to fix or upgrade it.
@Hawkenstien28 күн бұрын
I didn't know you worked there too lol thays awesome amd it was one of my favorite explores so far
@SusieBee68328 күн бұрын
@Hawkenstien I did rotations as a student nurse. I didn't actually work there. I've been in some patient rooms, the cafeteria, the blood draw room, the respiratory therapy room, and the ER area. It was a beautiful old building (with a couple of mid-century additions). The place was definitely in need of repair, but it was still beautiful. And the location on top of the hill!! WOW!! What a view!! They should do something with that property to make use of its beautiful views of the region.

DeLong bricks were made at a brick factory in the 1800s and a lot of the buildings that were built using them have been repurposed. The factory was near a waterfall and the clay nearby was used to make them. Pretty cool. Apparently, these bricks are rare.
