Just goes to show, the NBA quit playing defense around 2012.

Back then people who mostly shoot 3s where always called out and bench by the coaches in high school in the states because they said that it wasn't effective and it's risky. I wonder how they react in todays game

Hm, certainly a lot of point inflation as you go down the years. I wonder what it converts to for all the older players who didn't have the means to score compared to what "newer" people like Micheal Jordan, Shaquille and so on have.

I believe wilt and Russell's block numbers especially wilt would've been astronomical. Easily #1 and 2... Elmore Smith and nate Thurmond numbers would've been much higher as well. I would like wilt's and Russell's numbers to be accounted for as well as. Any others that are neglected. Just like sacks in the NFL... Blocks and steals are not properly accounted for Dr J being on this list for a while is remarkable.. didn't know he had defense like that. Mark Eaton moved up that list quick Respect to olajuwon for his numbers accumulation

Reggie Miller, 3:22, dominated holy. List to this, with the exception of 12 people, he had over double the amount 3-pointers than everyone else in the league. The next person closest to him, peaked at 67% of his total shots. Or in other words, they would need to increase the number of 3-pointers they've got by 50% just to match him. Holy fuck.
@timothychinye600816 күн бұрын
Of course Ray Allen eventually beat him, but percentage wise / in comparison to his competition, Reggie Miller was something else. "Miller time". Also, can we also talk about James Harden? He was flying up the leaderboard right along with stephy curry (I mean at the same rate, Steph was still far ahead). Same for LeBron James. Also, French, South Africa, Croatia, and Germany, there was only four people in this list not from America.

A lot of people talk about how the old guys were milkmen in the offseason and their numbers really don't translate. Well Bob Cousy being on this list 50 YEARS after he retired from that Era before he fell off would beg to differ. And of course Oscar Robertson STILL being on it as well nearly 50 years later too. If you can play the game, you can play the game, simple as that.

Thank you for these videos. The speed at which kobe advanced this list from his 14-18 year was highly impressive and lebron moving up so quick after his 12 yr was wild to see too for a pass first player early in his career. LeBron being the alltime total points leader and having 40k was unfathomable.. respect Him and jordan both appeared in their 12th year If not for Jordan's father dying..he would've launched up this list much quicker earlier than the rest since the 80s. Wilt's ascension was hilariously crazy to see in just his fourth year appearing in the top 15 all-time total points list and being the leader in just his seventh year was hilariously dominant

For Dolph schayes to remain on this top 15 list until almost the 2000s is incredible. Bob petit hanging on until the 2010s is wild too. Wilt and Russell will forever remain the greatest rebounders ever..the way they leaped that list was incredible to watch

Wilt was playing with plumbers and fire fighters and people that aren't dedicated to the game they usually had a second job. Also wilt was 8-12 inces taller than them, he was ahead of his time.

We still don’t even know if Wilt’s 100 point game is real. All we have to go off of is him holding a piece of paper with 100 written in crayon on it. There is no footage of the game no matter what we try to do.

The descent of the modern NBA into a moneyball game of paint shots and way too many bad 3-pointers, has all but killed the art of the midrange jump shot. When you look at all the downstream effects of that, it's hard to not conclude that a lot of the big career records aren't about to be touched, anytime soon. If that's true, then what's downstream from it?
@Rsbraun12629 күн бұрын
Pete Maravich would've been near the top if he'd have had the 3 point line.
